Loll, maybe it's you who doesn't know good food..

I don't just say this as a native Texan, but WHATABURGER is foking delicious and ALWAYS consistent no matter where you get it! Meat is fresh never frozen and lightly dusted with salt and pepper. I know some of you complained of not liking veggies on yours. Well to me, the crisp lettuce, juicy tomato and onions all work in perfect harmony!
One unique thing about Whataburger is that you can create anything you can imagine always! My personal favorite:

Double Meat - Bacon - Guacamole - Grilled Onion - Lettuce - Tomato - light Mustard.

My mouth started watering just typing that!

Did I mention they are open 24hrs!

They also offer 'roasted green chillies' on your burger.

Here is an exact pic of what you can expect on their traditional Double Whataburger with cheese:

Keep in mind... I grew up in So Cal! There was a place called Prince's Burger that was amazing. But In n Out... The meat is ultra thin and the sauce is just ok. Bro you gotta remember, I'm in TEXAS! That's "Cattle Country". I have eaten so many burgers and BBQ, most Americans won't EVER consume.
Have you had Whataburger?

From that pic I already don't like whataburger (lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and mustard) but I won't judge it till I eat it.

In n Out - 3by3, no tomatoes, very light lettuce, peppers, whole grilled and regular onions.

Five Guys - double bacon, mayo, jalapeņos, grilled and regular onions, grilled mushrooms, and hot sauce.

I want to try whataburger and see what it's about.

I haven't tried whataburger yet. I've lived in SoCal for 10 years and I can still eat in n out every single day. 2 double double animal style with an animal fry hnngggggg! BUT, my family just moved to Sugarland, so I'm gonna have to hit you up when I visit in September to get the low down on what burger joints to try and which to avoid.

I usually pride myself on burger lists and this one I'm only at 4.... very disappointed in myself. I guess I've got my work cut out for me.

and because its a thread subplot I vote 5 guys over in N out. In N Out loses points for the worst fries in the business.

I would go to our local 5 Guys more often but I don't like standing there waiting 20 minutes surrounded by college students.

A little excessive but you get the point haha.

2nd one looks good, first one, not so much.

I hate BBQ sauce, it's just a cover up. It over powers anything it goes on and just masks everything.

I have FOND memories of when Whataburger was next to my dad's office. Then it became Lot-A-burger, and now A-burger. It's not the same, but I still like that I can order a bag 'o jalapenos for a quarter, and they will either just give to me or dice it up onto my burger.

Yeah, I don't know good food--that's why I get paid to run restaurants and have not applied for a job in twenty years. I must be good at fooling thousands of people, many of which, living in this affluent area, go to the finest restaurants in the world.

You must be fooling thousands the same way in n out and five guys is fooling millions. (Your logic)

Going to the finest restaurants means they have money, not that they know good food.

You think Burger King is better than five guys .. Enough said.

The millions of people who swear by in n out and five guys know nothing about food but the "thousands" who eat at your place are fkn former Michelin star reviewers huh

There is one particular characteristic of the meat itself that I look for in a great burger:

When it it is placed on a very hot grill (not BBQ grill) and it is quickly seared and crusted. Of course you have to eat it immediately to appreciate this aspect.
