Final verdict on spacers for M8

So reading through the many threads, still have not landed on a decision.

Seeking further thoughts on a final opinion/conclusion for spacers on the M8 Coupe?

18/12 or 15/10 or what?

Prefer a more aggressive stance so leaning towards 18/12.

Btw car is not lowered and most likely will not happen..... until I change my mind lol

All thoughts welcome.

If you get a hubcentric setup and its properly installed, there are no issues from a function standpoint. Form of course will be improved with no unsightly tuck gaps from the back and sides.

Cons: bad install or cheap spacers that dont have a proper snout which will lead to wobbles, vibrations, and other issues. Of my current stable I have spacers on the R8, M8, C63 BS.... the AMG has custom wheels and the Porsche has centerlocks (impossible to space correctly)

Ive been using proper spacers for years on over 20+ of my cars especially with the improvement of good looking OEM wheels where the only detractor is the offset so they are too sunk in. Hell, Porsche even had spacer options in their builds on their 991's for years.

Was this for your x5m or m8?

I think 15m in rear of m8 is too aggressive.

I dont think he has an M8---

I would not run a 15mm in the rear with my drop.

Here are some pics similar to Vic's.

My fronts rubbed initially so I drove in a figure 8 in a car park for 4 mins—there's nothing left to rub on anymore.

You rubbed on 15's because you up sized your tires correct?

I dont rub at all on 18's with the OEM tires- tested at speeds to the limiter with undulations.

Right. 285/35/20s up front. Presumably, 275s are fine given your setup.

It turns out Michelins sub nicely as a circular sander—it's positively glossy in there now.

Those PS4's sure do have a nicer sidewall than the Pirellis.

Eff it then. 18/12 it is. No drop for now. Too cold in northeast sooooo in March it happens unless I get really impatient, which is expected.

Thanks everyone

Just did local guy's M8 Coupe with MSS and 15/12 H&R Spacer.
Customer will comes back to swap the 15 to 18 as what I suggested prior to installation.
He was a insisted 18mm will be too much and just want to do 15.
After the drop and drove the car in the parking lot, he does realize that 18mm was the right choice.
