Expecting variant similar to AMG SL 63 S e Perf. 12V still sexier to me.

Crazy how the badge changes everyone's perspective. If this model had a BMW badge?

I'd take a 10V or 12V over any hybrid solution. Looking long and hard at 2020/2021 Huracan's to scratch that itch but $220K plus and that would require an appreciating watch sale to turnaround and buy a depreciating car.

The new AMG GT with all the options I want is likely the better choice. I can live with the 577HP and ultimately mod it if doable and I desire that. Life is too short to sweat the HP minutiae as in reality for my driving needs the 523HP in the M850i is all that I need.

My $220k+ is a Ferrari Roma. LOL SL on same platform. Easy to find now to try. I liked it enough to consider going back to MB when I have to replace my Z4.

I hear you but it's becoming the lesser of two evils with my ideal design vs a compromise for a new coupe. 😜

I didn't read into it but will it have the V8 or V6?

I'll be surprised if BMW doesn't eventually announce new 2 door models to compete with this GT & the SL.
Looks like Lexus will add an F performance PHEV around 2026. Best Car claims it'll be equipped with a 4L V8 twin turbo PHEV. Best Car also claims new Supra due around 2026 likely needs an I6/BMW:

I’d hold the Lexus rumors with a grain of salt. Toyota seems to be phasing out V8’s. They were rumored to turbocharge the LC’s V8 for an LC-F but that ended up never happening (sadly).

Seems like they need the right V8 & I6. S68 close to Best Car's description. I enjoy the guessing game.

I saw one of these on the road today here in Plano in a frozen Grey. It looked absolutely delicious! It dies to appear as round as the previous Gen. Drove right beside it. Front E d side and rear were very nice.

I like the looks. I spent a good amount of time considering the new SL before getting another M8. The new GT looks much better and with AWD and 2+2 I would certainly consider it. The previous version had a very rough ride so for me it wasn’t a daily driver. Agree with most on the hp. Needs to be in the 600’s .

Yep and rumor has it the 2025 MY is the end of the road for the glorious NA V8 in the LC500. To be replaced with a further hybrid only or all EV. Still on my 2025 shortlist now that the 2024s have the NA designed Infotainment system.
