Rear seat headrests?
I wanted to see if anyone here had any success or tips for removing the rear headrests from the 8 series or M8 convertible.
I asked the BMW Genius and they said talk to parts...useless. I'll ask my SA at my upcoming 1200 mile M break in service and see what they say. I am sure they won't have an answer... I found this drawing which shows how it's anchored but can't tell how to "release" #2. I thought it might be friction fit, but I pulled pretty hard on it with no give. Thanks! |

There was an earlier thread on the forum discussing the same topic. Not sure if the OP on it ever found a solution but you might want to search to find it to see if he/she did.

Have you tried pushing the side of the headrest? I thought I recall there being a hidden button within the headrest?
