I recently got a quote for a BMW M850 Gran Coupe AWD and wanted to know what you guys thought. Here it is below:

MSRP- 122k
Selling price 94k
Lease price 1215/month with 0 down and first month payment due at signing.
Did not get a money factor or residual value of the vehicle. Thoughts?

Looking for a deal!

Hi everyone, I hope you are all doing great!

I'm looking to get one of these incredible deals on a M8 Gran Coupe Competition.

I found almost what I wanted but it sold this weekend.

My dealer is only offering me 10k off inventory or ordering. I don't think that is all that great considering I have seen these 27-30k off deals. Where can these deals be made?

I ideally I would like this build EBGHLH8A I know it is unlikely that I will get exactly what I want ordering it and I certainly should be able to better with a vehicle in inventory but no one seems to want to actually give me a deal that is compelling.

Complicating things I have a MY2015 M6 Gran Couple Comp with 35000 miles i want to trade in. So if I have to go out of Texas I don't know now the procedure would work to trade my current beast in?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

Alex

Looks really good, just make sure you get the money factor.

Quick question. In negotiations for a M8C Coupe and they are saying 10k residual is 53%. Is that correct? Page 1 showed 54% so wanted to make sure. They were inflating the MF before I asked them so wanted to make sure.

Thanks!

I picked up an M8 (non-comp) last week. 140k base. $3900 down (includes tax, title and first month's payment) and $1300 a month thereafter for a 10k/3 year lease. They also paid off my M4 lease five months early.

How do you get that kind of deal? I'd jump at that.

Just signed a deal and now waiting for my vehicle to be delivered—excited! The vehicle was listed as new, but it has 400+ miles on it, so it’s most likely a demo/launch (didn’t ask or confirm).

- 2020 BMW M8 Competition Coupe (non vert)
- MSRP: $157k
- DAS: $3300
- Terms: 36/7.5k (54% residual, October)
- Monthly: $1324

I didn’t qualify for loyalty, but I was able to get the $3000 corporate rebate. Every dealership I spoke to wasn’t sure. I followed the links and steps, and the dealer was able to honor the certificate: https://www.bmwusa.com/bmw-corporate-sales-program.html

For people asking where to find these deals: finding a “launch” vehicle will increase your chances of getting a good deal, and I’m not sure how many are left. I looked for these by doing a search on cars.com and sorted by “Date Listed: Oldest.” The pattern I noticed is that most “launch” vehicles will have the tartufo/white interior.

So how did the negotiation go with this. I see all of the cars on there listed around the $150-160k range. Did they just automatically come down a bunch.

Also, was the dealer near you or is it being shipped to you or are you going to get it and drive it home?

Out-of-state dealer, and my car is being transported here.

This specific vehicle was listed at an already low price, so the conversation was easier. I found it on cars.com, and navigating to the dealer site, I didn’t see the same price listed, so I thought it might have been click-bait. I inquired through cars.com, and it was real, so we agreed on a deal and signed the buyer’s order the same day.

Negotiation experience in case it might help:
  • I shared my ideal structure ($12xx/month, DAS: first month + fees)
  • Dealer said that it would be closer to $15xx/month
  • I asked if dealer could offer buy-rate for money factor (.00082) and they said they couldn’t do it
  • I inquired about corporate sales program and was told they weren’t aware of it
  • I searched online and was able to generate a certificate which I shared with dealer
  • Dealer called and said they can honor it ($3000 rebate) and we were now at low $14xx
  • I couldn’t move forward with the above, so after giving it some thought and running numbers through leasehackr calculator, I emailed them and said I would pay for car shipper if they can meet me in the “middle”: $1314/month
  • Dealer called back and said $1372/month, and I said I couldn’t move forward with that
  • We agreed to $1324/month and moved forward with paperwork

I contacted almost 10 dealerships, local and out-of-state, and the second lowest monthly I was able to get for 36/7.5k:
MSRP: $155k
Monthly: $1490
DAS: first month + fees

Most, if not all, vehicle prices that were shared with me even before negotiation were lower than MSRP.

Hope that helps!

Thanks. That is helpful. You did a lot of the dealer contacting research for me.
