To be honest, I don't think the M8 on D3 would beat the Taycan, at least to the quarter - the torque and power numbers are just too strong, and the instant EV torque makes a difference. The M5 CS may have a different outcome, though, given its weight loss. I'm rooting for BMW!

I don't think the M8 would have won either, but at least we would know for sure. Likewise, we would have had better numbers in the data. I am surprised they don't have it set in the proper setting, given that they are surely educated on these cars.

Agree- D3 doesnt increase power but makes it "feel" more there during the drive via the shift logic.
