I am working on a potential upgrade of my factory HK subwoofers and amp and need some wiring diagram help. I found this on the G05 forum but it is low resolution and I cannot fully make it out.

My vehicle is a G16 but I assume the wiring would be the same. But if you are able, please pull the diagram for a G16 instead.

If possible, I would really appreciate a more high resolution copy of this! Thanks!

That's PERFECT! Thanks, FBMWWINS!

I did also find this option thanks to spta97 over on the X3 forum. This looks like it would streamline the process quite a bit as well!

Indeed it's always good to have more alternatives especially when you can source readily made stuff that helps a great deal in the process by making it less complicated and faster. Let us know how this project goes.

Another option that is pure plug-n-play is Bavsound's Ghost subwoofers to replace the existing H&K. Although they do not have a listing for the 8-series r33_RGSport confirmed in an earlier thread on the topic that they work for the H&K in the 8-series.

I have a good friend that bought a gently used 650i early last year that re-did all of the speakers in it with Bavsound. He's somewhat of an audiophile and stated it was a night and day difference from the stock H&K speakers. For the sub drivers alone Bavsound claims 2x performance and given their reputation for aftermarket BMW speaker replacements plus my friend's endorsement I'm taking it at face value to be true.

Saunders, you should be looking for the Tune to get our engine sound back not music

I know right!!!

I needed a short-term "win" though so I thought I would just crank up louder tunes and try to forget that my neutered exhaust sounds like a 1988 Ford Tempo's!

I've asked my service advisor who's also an asst mgr to see what he can find out from BMWUSA about this issue and it's been only crickets...appears BMW isn't talking nor wants to admit anything about it. I hope i never need an update

Ride that 07/2019 release as long as you can as asking BMW will just result in crickets. Perhaps the EU codebase made its way to the US or perhaps they are driving towards the multiple states with an 80 dBA restriction. Either way get an update and that glorious exhaust is neutered outside of Sport Plus (and I still think it took a hit).
