Post resonator delete question

I took out the resonator on my m8 comp and put in a straight pipe. Besides that everything else is stock. I don’t know if it’s in my head but feel like I lost some low end torque (unfortunately no dyno before the res delete). Anyone else experience something similar?

I think it’s all in your head as the car became louder at the same rpm’s compared to the stock…

The negative placebo effect has occurred. I have done this process on my last 2 M8's with no issues.

Go out with the most aggressive settings and rip it!!!!

I need to do this - wondering if I should go to the hood and pull the resonator first or do the sec cat del prior.

I’ll go with it’s in my head. Even if it wasn’t, car sounds amazing so I’m happy! Thanks for the replies.

Soooooooooo I just removed my secondary cats and put the stockies on but kept the resonator removal process in tact (no res on the exhaust) and to me the loss in sound or reduction in decibels was negligible vs what I will lose with the res reinstall. The secondaries are reasonably flowing even with the OEM pipes. Now the resonator creates more of a tonal change but damn the pops are still there.

Go to the HOOD.

Now the primaries are the ticket but I dont play that as I hate CEL's.

Thanks man - I guess I’m going to the hood.
