just finalized this deal for a customer after going back and forth for close to 3 weeks on colors. midrand beige was a close 2nd.

The tartufo carpeting makes it look so luxurious, I think he made the right choice. Donington exterior btw

Definitely looks upscale. I think it would be great for a lease but less sure if you want to keep the car for a while as I think the white will look tired from use after a while. This looks great in Wolfman's car.

Looks really nice but I too would be worried about white seating surfaces...it's one of the reasons I passed on the first edition.

I have silverstone in my m4 and it's held up pretty well over the past 5 months. No denim staining which I find surprising....I have it for 1 more week before the new owner picks it up *sigh*

I have a brown interior in my Cayenne and the steering wheel matches (brown). I've gotten used to it but I would have preferred a black one.

There's an amazing looking new white and blue interior that will will be available on the new Lexus LC500 cabrio, and they made the steering wheel all white...totally foolish!

Silverstone is about as light as I would go for an interior in a M8 but Ivory is just to white for the long haul maintenance. If I custom ordered a M8C my exterior of choice would be Almandin Brown and I'd likely match it with either Taruma Brown or Midrand Beige. The Taruma based on the build your own pictures reminds me of the Dakota Brown I chose for the interior of my wife's X5 which has a Mineral White exterior (she only likes white vehicles). However, for some contrast against the dark Almandin Brown exterior Midrand Beige would likely be my go to choice on an M8C.

I had a sick opal white interior in my 2016 San Marino Blue M6 GC competition. The problem for me was I was obsessed with keeping it white! It’s all I thought about, so besides admiring the gorgeous interior, I really never enjoyed the car because I didn’t want to get the seats dirty!

It’s all a question of personal preference. I am so bored by black interiors. Had many before and am done with them now.
A car would have to be really special to consider that. Love the ivory white/tartufo which was actually part of the reason I picked the car. We have had several SL’s with porcelain white/black and the seats were like new after years of top down driving, so I figured we’ll try the BMW

Totally agree, i.e., it's all down to personal preferences. I've never had a black interior to date as frankly they are indeed boring as part of the appeal of an interior color is contrast with the exterior. I walked away from a 2019 M850i in Carbon Black with a black interior that had all the bells and whistles I wanted on my custom order plus the CF package. My CA was willing to discount it heavily as at the time it was their only Coupe with my absolute must of the B&W audio. I said "no thanks" and the custom order ensued.

With your SL experience you just gave me some confidence on BMW Ivory White (or Sliverstone) so if I lose my mind and order a M8C in my preferred Almandin Brown exterior either one of those interiors offer the contrast I'd look for. Enjoy the drive!

A dark interior/dark exterior is kind of bland, but if there's contrasting int/ext colors then it's all good, and some of these like white or silver over black are considered a classic look for certain cars (they also stay the cleanest/newest looking)

However, there's something about triple black 911 turbo's...all mine were and one right after the other, until I caught the silver/black or silver/blue bug...lol

LOL. I don't hang there, but I am a fan of the light interiors, and it's never been a issue for me to keep them clean. But then my kids are grown and we don't eat in the car. Water only. OK, maybe coffee for me, but I'm almost a grown-up, and rarely spill anything.

Nice to see a non-competition model on GC. Beautiful interior but in a year's time the white will be a nightmare to maintain.

not an M8 but my FE F90 with "smoke white" which is very similar to the OP's pics - no issues after almost 2 years of ownership. But I dont eat in the car, fart, or drive with clothes on... drive naked and free!!!
