08' Accord

Anyone know how long it takes for there to be a price decrease on 07' models when the 08's arrive. I am thinking of getting a Honda Accord Coupe but want the cheapest price possible.

Thanks

The price decrease should be in effect beginning now. You know when it happens because you'll see adverts for 1.9% financing from Honda. I thought I just saw a commercial for that today. They're clearing out 07 inventory now.

Keep in mind you will be buying the old body style if you buy now. They should give you a hell of a good deal because of that.

Deep discounts will be on new inventory only, I'm sure. I don't know how used prices would be affected, if at all.

If by "slightly used" you mean less than a year then the selling price will be very close to a brand new one. If you can get mad discounts on a new one then it's going to be about the same price for used. So in short: get a new one.

They're already taking chunks off. In June, My cousin just replaced his 05 V6 5AT Coupe with an 07 V6 6MT Coupe for $3 grand off MSRP. Not sure what that is off invoice, but you can do the math.

They usually offer rebates on '07's, for '08's none. that's the only thing they offer to get rid of the '07's.

If you haven't gone to the dealer already you might be too late. Honda's previous year inventory usually are gone before August or Sept of the model year. However, the 07 Accord aren't selling as well as it use to and I think this is due to the grown up Civic (now the same size as older Accords) and the better stlying. But don't fret you might get a good deal on 08 models during the last week of 07 because they want to close out as many deals as possible. I popped into a Honda dealer last weekend and I have feel that the new Accord sedan won't sell well again. It's soo hideous..... hopefully the coupe will be much better in person.
