2024 850 vs 2022 850
What are the main differences between these two models, both software and hardware?

Asking if it's worth getting a 2022 CPO for 70k or brand new 2024 for 112k.

The last one I was unaware of but now explains why the M850i GC I was behind a few weeks back had the M style mirrors.

I’d get an older CPO.
Unless you are huge on getting the “latest” tech. To me I don’t really use most of the tech. Navigation, CarPlay are all I really care about with infotainment and you get all that in the ‘22 model. Drivetrain is the same. |

Haven't found the CPO I want yet. I am actively looking. Hoping lease maturities at the end of this month would give me an option to choose from.

I have a friend who bought an X5M CPO from a Florida dealer who replaced brake pads but did not replace rotors despite the rotors measuring 0.1mm and 0.2mm thicker than the minimum thickness at the time of the CPO inspection. So, 4 months after he gets the car and has brake squeal, he takes it in for service and they tell him he needs all 4 new rotors (and pads-because the pads are grooved from the drilled rotors) for over $3K. Selling dealer will not help and claims they did nothing improper. He asked BMWNA for assistance but he quickly learned they aren't very helpful with CPO cars. Lesson learned. Some dealers go cheap to save $ on their CPOs.

^ CPO should not cover consumables, such as brake pads, worn rotors, etc
For example, tires can be close to the end of their life with a CPO car and I wouldn’t fault the dealer if they didn’t replace them. I think changing them is a decent thing to do, but not required |

BMW of Grapevine (Texas) has a couple of low mileage 23 850 CPOs. This is where I purchased new and they’ve been really good to me. Ask for Jonny.
