The " exotic" comments are hilarious.
When the M6 debuted , I was 22 and DYING to be able to get it one day , now I'm 29 and only achieved to get an M4 however I'm DYING this time for another reason , dying for this model to die out soon so we can get a real M6 replacement. This car is a pig face joke with the most basic interior I've ever seen. So the Bentley comparison comments are amazing , really thank you for the laughs. |

Nothing is exotic about 8 series design TBH. Wonder why BMW decided to discontinue 2-door 8 series already. |

As for other comments on this thread, I do agree that the one thing weird with the F13 is the hood line, the best hoodline is the G01, G11, G30 style that runs to the top edge of the grill. Not as bad as the line on the F80 though which is completely weird around the headlights. The F13 interior is very special. If the LCI had included the aircon and centre dash update similar to the G11/12 with the white text then it would have looked a lot more modern, sadly the red text looks fairly dated now. Apart from those few things the F13 is still perfect in my mind

they both look great. 6er just has that timeless look. One of my favorites so far.

Wow the old one is better looking in every single way. Hands down.
The new car just gives me no emotion. Loved the last gen 6er as others said looked timeless and had presence.

The only thing the 8 has over the 6 is the tech, otherwise 6 for the win!!!!
I love my F06 M6 and plan to keep it for a very very long time. Nows a great time to buy a 6. |

Sarcasm, if you didn't notice. The 8 series is going to bomb, and probably already has. They're going 20K off sticker new. They've already announced it's going to be discontinued. The 2 Series Gran Coupe has the same front end as this car and the front has already started to look stale. Anyway, I feel bad for the people who are going to lose 100K in 3 to 4 years on this car. |

BMW UK sent me an 8 series coupe for a week and were shocked when I returned it in 3 days.
It is a modern car with upgraded technology and moderately improved interiors. The exterior has sharper lines (not to mention that rear giving you a paper cut every time you walk past) But it was simply not worth the premium and laughable not up to Bentley or even S Class coupe standards. I run a heavily specified 640d Gran Coupe and I see very little to no reason to upgrade to the 8GC. The 6 is still modern, with an amazing silhouette and design details, and an interior that is still one of Munich's best if properly specified (some stock cars are dogs!) So I watched this comparison (and have read others) with interest. Yay for lower and wider. Not so sure about longer because the rear legroom on the 8GC is still cramped. And dont get me started on that rear - have I mentioned that already?!! The exterior styling is less refined, just more emotional (read shouty) for what is a luxo-barge. It's still heavy and while it has good handling and ride, if you want crisp road manners get an M4 or a 4 series GC. The dashboard is now more utilitarian and forgettable. The biggest improvement is the heated steering wheel button is more accessible. The interior trim materials have improved and new leather options (but still that hopeless coral red) and some nice seats. The 850i sounds good and I love the thuggy pop on the overburn. Ummm, that's about it. Am I surprised the new product portfolio plan signed off by the BMW Board in early June voted to discontinue the 8 series coupe and convertible (the 8GC is retained). Both are great cars, 8 looks more modern now. 6 is a nice pickup as resale values are falling

Both look suited to their time. The 6er was a show stopper when it was new and still looks great; it will age well due to its clean lines.
The 8er is more trendy and unconventional with some of its styling elements, which is about par for the course with other modern cars. Now the interiors are easy...the 6er’s was far more beautiful and extravagant in its design. The 8er’s interior design is a total let down. |

Just to bring things into perspective. The 6 dash looked dated to me as early as 2017 compared to even current G30 5 series. The reason I went for G30 rather than 6 series coupe
So in my own opinion, the interior of 8 series when compared to 6 series is more sleek and modern and more attractive. The problem with 8 series interior is that it is too close and similar to other G series of cars
