BMW’s iDrive 8 infotainment system is not very good

Thought this was an interesting article. No surprise really. I've admittedly been disappointed that iD8 wasn't included in the 8's LCI, not because I thought it was an improvement, but because I thought not having it would prematurely date the car. But this article probably convinces me otherwise.

Not to surprised some of the early reviews on it you can see the lag and issues on camera. Also year one I don't think is ever much better than a polished system, I enjoy ID7 a lot and maybe this means they will not mess too much with it any longer since they have ID8 to worry about.

ID7 is really amazing. I mean BMW and Mercedes are way ahead of everyone on infotainment and I feel most say that ID7 is better than MBux.

This is why I have a really hard time buying a pre LCI 8 series due to the small screen. ID7 is glorious on the 12.3 inch…..

If I happen to get in a pre LCI M8, I am going to buy the larger screen as soon as possible.
