Gorgeous car👍. The mat PPF brought out the orange pigment of the Fire Red that at first look it appeared to be Toronto Red. Overall, fantastic job so far and enjoy after your M break in.

In City I get 13-15.
On road I get +20
However mine is Coupe so about 200lb weight advantage…

Wow I love the stealth !!!!!! Amazing idea!!!!! This is absolutely stunning. LOVE THIS! I never realized how expensive stealth is…. 😅😅.

Which secondaries and exhaust are you going with??

I did project gamma secondaries with AWE exhaust. It's the PERFECT amount of sound with the ability to close my valves still. It's perfect in my opinion.

Word of caution. You will get a drone from 1800-1950 rpm. Only time I really notice this is cruising at 80mph in 8th gear. But no regrets what so ever.

I get 11-12 mpg consistently 😭😅

I'm sure it looks great still....but red is not a color one chooses to be stealthy. I think gloss red looks amazing.

Red gloss looks SOOOOOO amazing that it still looks sooooo good as stealth. I agree with you 100%. But this gives such a beautiful unique look the OP was going for. I love both, but he killed it with this stealth PPF! Well done OP

I decided to go with full PPF Gloss over the black plastic and Gloss over the Carbon Fiber bits, paint was covered with Stealth. I was very nervous about doing so because the Fire Red was amazing in person, but I really wanted something that stood out and was not the typical thing. Thought this would be the easy way, and my wrap guy said if I didn't like the portion he would tease me with, then we could stop and go right to gloss. Needless to say I feel in love with the stealth on the red, it really makes the contour lines POP out like crazy in any light or shade.

The work done so far is full paint correction, PPF, full exterior with wheels ceramic coated. Interior fully ceramic coated, and ceramic tint on all windows. 20% all the way around and 70% on the windshield. Nothing impacts the systems of the vehicle already tested them all.


Day one impressions:

I'll admit day one about 200 miles (of break in) and not really noticing anything crazy different. I like so far, exhaust note with top down is amazing no piped in sound.

Brakes broke in really quick and nice, very smooth and powerful.

The only thing I wasn't prepared for was the B&W sound system in this small cabin is simply KICKING...... I don't know how else to say it but from my X5MC with B&W to this, was night and day different. The sheer quality and how it booms over the wind noise with top down was very impressive, without the need to blast it. I am over joyed I held out and waited for the B&W and will honestly say without it (knowing how it sounds now) I would not have wanted the car.... I know that is crazy to say but when optioning it out and going for all the boxes this is a MUST!!! I hope BMW replaces it soon with something else for those who can only order HK right now. Good thing is though if you don't have a B&W now you won't know what you are missing so there is that.

First pics are the pics of today when I picked it up from the PPF work, followed by the OG at the dealer. I couldn't be more happy.

WOW, WOW, WOW! That is a truly AWESOME car! I have a 2022 Toronto Red Metallic X4MC in State 112 since 6/2. I am getting the car with Style 892M rims. I already have 21" Pirelli Scorpions for Winter, Style 765M rims I'm buying for the Winter tires and 20" Style 764M rims too. I plan on a JB4 mod after 1,200 mile break-in.

I am picking up in Spartanburg, SC at the Performance Delivery Center, and doing the factory and museum tour. Staying overnight and driving back home to New York the next day. The day after I wlll deliver "Scarlett" to the detailer for color correction, partial protective film, and ceramic coating including two extra sets of rims and the Red calipers 👍🚘

I bought a CF rear spoiler from Karbel with no Karbel emblem. I'm looking for CF mirror caps.

The "latest" my car should start production build is 6/23!

Looks great! That's the thing with B&W, the quality with the windows or top down at highway speeds. The HK just can't hang.

I appreciate your comments thank you. I will have to check out your gram, I've been tossing up exhaust options for past three weeks. I have coated secondary's right now from Evolution Raceworks I've used them in the past with great fitment. Thanks for heads up on the drone that is something that can get annoying quickly.

Exactly I love gloss red but I put my trust into my wrap team and they swayed me for sure. The amount of body lines you see in light or shade is insane I wish I was a pro with camera's but this thing is nutz. Many think its a vinyl wrap but as soon as they see the door handles they stop and go wait is this the paint... lol the convo turns fun then I can explain the stealth coverage over such an amazing fire red.

avg is a solid 11.5. I am not tuned and I drive in sport + mode about 95% of the time.

Ah. Regular mode was usually plenty for me in my M4 and I imagine it will certainly be in the M8 but I do go into sport Plus when I am feeling sprightly. So maybe my mileage will be a little better
