The wheel should come with that CF trim from the factory if you get the rest of the CF interior.

For how easy these are to install everyone should have it. I've always been bummed you cannot carbon up the inside of the 8 series completely.

I kind of wish it was leather or plastic instead of alcantara on the steering wheel trim. Although apparently because I got the full leather with the midrand my whole dash is going to be alcantara so 🤷*♂️ Still waiting to see what I think of that. I think I would have preferred other instead of the alcantara.

Yeah, I would of just like the whole thing to be carbon honestly myself, it works great with the leather wheel.

When you say you had the interior ceramic coated, what parts are ceramic coated? I polished my center console wood and coated it with Crystal Serum Light ceramic and it made exactly zero difference in the reappearance of fine scratches.

It's amazing how stupidly expensive CF is aftermarket.

I thought the same thing. Awfully expensive for what you get. Some of those items are pretty nice though.
I guess a big part of the cost is they buy the BMW oem part and then cover it in carbon. So the oem parts won't be cheap as we all know.
I suppose if you look at it like that it's more inline.
I want the Manhart rear fender reflector trim pieces. But they are nut in cost too.
That center console carbon piece is nice.

That would jazz the center console up nicely

On my M4 I didn't order the carbon fiber interior shrimp initially but later decided I wanted it. Would have been $995 if I got it with the car but cost almost $2,000 to do it afterwards.

One thing is aftermarket carbon usually doesn't match the carbon you may have already. Color variances thingy

I've seen the carbon wheel trim for sale with leather as well. I got the alcantara one and like it fine. I don't really touch tht center ara so it nice it matches the roof liner. My 2022 doesn't have as much alcantara as the 2023 seems to have. More leather in mine. So I though the contrast was nice. As long as the wheel touch area is leather I'm happy.

I had the all leather surfaces covered with it and the touch points as well on the plastics and all glass surfaces. I did this mainly for two reasons light colored leather and the sun. It helps with UV ray protection and give the leather a super soft feel.

For the scratches on the console it will not protect against, ceramic coatings are not like PPF. On my wife's Porsches I had them PPF some of the inside bits to protect them but on the M8 there really isn't much there that needed it for my carbon trim...

I have the front splitter installed now, all PPF'd and ceramic coated.

Sometimes I don't know why little things like this don't come from the factory, the original rubber one wasn't ugly but DAMN does this just pull it together.

This is the Sterckenn front lip. The factory carbon doesn't match it exactly, not easy to see unless you get close but note for anyone.

Park safe my friend and conservatively pay attention to the 3D plus parking sensors. Have scraped the crap out of the rubber splitter due to low parking space bumpers the PDC couldn't recognize and the 3D camera "black" projection representing the front bumper was clueless as well. Irony is on a C7/C8 with at least the L2 package there are cameras that cover the splitter but no go on an 8-series.

Took a drive out and around PHX area this Sunday with the wife. Got break in up to 747 miles so getting close to that first service!!! Thought I'd share a couple pics. PPF on both cars is holding up great.

are you satisfied and content with the wrap? honestly from the before and after pics, the matte ppf makes the color look washed out. i know in person it may look a whole lot different.

I went back and forth a bit on it, mostly because I like my gloss and high shine. Then when you start looking at it you see way more of the design features of the body lines in any light, almost like it is in constant motion (if that makes sense). You are correct though it makes it much more washed out or subtle, maybe doesn't scream pull me over red as much. I think the contrast from the gloss wheels, carbon bits is what really makes it pop too me.

I was going for something not done much or often, I love red on cars so when the wrap guy suggested stealth I was very hesitant. Googling didn't help there aren't many examples and nothing for the 8. Overall I wanted something that stood out and made people question whether they would do something like that or not, and I think this delivers. I'm very happy with the way it turned out. I will note it is no where near as dull as actual flat paint found that out next to another actual gray painted truck.
