Updated MY23 Order Guides - B&W available for M8

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Here are all MY23 Order Guides, including the updated M8 Guides. It states that B&W is available as of May orders. Wish I had known that when I ordered mine on May 2.

This makes me incredibly happy. I'm still not 100% convinced it happens, but this gives some additional hope.

hinckley I realize this is not ideal for you…I'm sorry. I'd be pretty pissed if I were in your shoes.

That's awesome! This weekend's search left me pretty disgusted. M4 markups from 5k all the way to 20k. The 5k markup with a MF of 0.00230 (wtf), coming out with over 1800 monthly payment on a 95k car... M8 markups from 7.5 to 25k! One dealer has a gran coupe in transit that he said he would keep at msrp with the b&w but the car is loaded and with msrp near 160k. Total insanity.
Does anyone know if any socal dealers have allocations for m8 coupe and any that don't have markups?
Just out of curiosity, does anyone know how long it takes on avg to resolve a lemon case? My amg is on day 22 today and close to day 50 or more overall in 16 months of ownership...

Thank you for that, but the truth is I'm incredibly lucky (by today's standards). I ordered my car on May 2. My dealer had a build slot that I could totally customize and that went into production on May 9. Three weeks later, on May 30, it was at the port. Hard to complain about all that.

If you spend a lot of time driving on the interstate I could see where one might want a BW system, but driving in sport plus mode is the reason I bought an m8 GC. The sound of the exhaust is the only music I need to hear.

That’s what I said too before I got a car with BW

This is kind of analogous to when I go on week long hikes. People say "enjoy the sounds of nature". Well at some point nature sounds beautiful and all, but you just want to add some music.

Let's face it these cars are very quiet unless you are getting into the RPMs. Even with top down the M8 isn't very loud unless you are getting on it or hard down shifting. At idle virtually nothing for noise. So a good sound system is key for quality and finish.

Buy the car not the audio system.

Maybe it’s the difference between GC and coupe markets?

I’ve had some very hard runs in this car at only 1100 km and ready to weigh in on thoughts and differences when thinking M8 over M850, and just M8 overall.

Stereo has not got much use, but I think the audiophile in me, if it was ever there, is now gone.

I'm buying the car as a whole. That includes the audio system. What are you thinking the difference between the two markets is?

Not sure really. I get in the car and drive. The stereo doesn’t factor in. That’s just me. I drive it hard. No sense for audio in the background and need to hear the rpms

When driving hard or for fun a quick mute press for me work just fine. But I also find the audio system helps me relax and keep out of the throttle a bit on those long drives, keeping my ticket count down

Driving around in NYC stop and go traffic, the B&W sound quality is greatly appreciated. Whoever got a May or June allocation is a very lucky person. I'm beyond disappointed at this point.

Amen, I am extremely disappointed as well. Now I am in a dilemma if I should order another M8 Comp GC with everything that I originally had plus the B&W. Damn EFFEN first world problems.

Same here. Super annoyed. Bavsound is my only consolation. Not sure how vaguely close that gets to the B&W

Totally agree. In sport plus mode the engine sounds and shifts are awesome. Music gets boring anyway.

This is exactly why I waited. No way they were going to let time keep going by and not have the B&W system fully available in all regions. The supply shortage is easing up as well. Time to find that allocation and put in an order now thank God.
