at this hour, its pretty much a process of elimination, so use your bypass plugs, and drive around. if you still get reduced power, one of your connections is wrong. but you will still have a cel. this is gonna be kinda hard for you because you don't have a creader, so you don't know if the code its throwing is from the Xede or the DPs.

Hallandale...I bet my money on the DPs giving you limp mode.
I had Limp Mode on my E90 with the catless DPs and no procede or anything. Threw it on my way to Friday's and researched it when I got home. SPeaking from experience: I got about 5 or so Limp Modes from the catless DPs. But it never actually cut power to my engine. Reason? Not sure. But never did I feel a loss of power. The reason your Xede doesn't eliminate the CEL is because it is not tuned off the floor to do it. My bad on the previous post thinking it did. Have VIP Tuning custom tune the Xede so that you don't throw any more CELs or limp modes. They can work it out for you I am sure, that guy can do almost anything. PM me if you have any questions, I'm pretty knowledgable in this area.

PS: Do not worry about Xede throwing limp modes or CELs. It shouldn't throw it after driving around, usually it is an instantaneous thing when they will throw it, or after a very short ride.

Oh, also, forgot to mention.
I found that after 2 service engine soon lights would blip on, a limp mode would be sure to follow. I think this is because the DME can only store 2 or 3(correct me if I am wrong someone, but I think thi is valid) codes at a time. The Limp Mode is more of a scare tactic used by BMW to get you into service for what it thinks is a faulty emissions system. If you clear the codes, watch and wait for another service engine soon light, and then another, then following that a limp mode(note: takes 40 miles or so to get a limp mode, only after 2 service engine lights come on). I noticed the SES light would come on and disappear with restarting the car, usually. But once it happens a second or third time, it will stay there until cleared.

BTW, I highly doubt this will work. Before VIP Tuning custom tuned the Xede for the DPs, they had 2 nonfouers stacked on top of each other beween the bung and the O2 sensor.
