Dyno Results : Carbahn Stage 3 software with intercoolers and heat exchanger
Got my 2020 M8 Comp Coupe dyno tested (dyno jet) earlier this week. The car is stock with the exception of the carbahn Stage 2 hardware and Stage 3 DME flash (not piggyback):
https://carbahn.com/product/cbf9x-91...mpetition-pkg/ I had 92 octane pump gas in it. HP: 647.63 at 6170 rpm Lb: 667.85 at 3570 rpm The guy running the tests has issues with updates to the dyno jet software so still waiting on better pics of other runs. I believe these were the two best though. |

I would be expecting a lot more than those numbers with a DME flash tune, just to be honest.

It isn't too far off from carbahn published numbers for 93 octane (675/638) (Hp/lb). Not sure why I got more torque (less Hp I would expect). I am sure their numbers are corrected as well where as mine are not.

It doesn't say other than dyno results.

Read up on the carbahn tune and their approach (not pushing the engine and mechanicals past where they should be pushed and offering a manufacturer match warranty) and the carbahn was the best/safest choice for me. |

Looks promising-- I love to see dyno numbers but always know there are conditions, operators, and hardware behind it all.
I like to say- lets see where the rubber meets the road and get some draggy times in as that will show the street gains which are the most important!! Dating myself here but my heavily modded E55K back in the day used to dyno lower than other modded ones but at the track, it always took care of business. But again it was built on a Sunday

The question is did they do a before and after dyno? That is the only way you'll know anything. I would be slightly disappointed with a tuned M8 only putting down 640 but that is just me, people have dynoed these cars right at 600 to the wheels stock. Every dyno reads different though, which is why I said they should have done a before and after dyno to show you what you picked up.

I’m one behind you with no flash and no map sensors. I did before and after dyno at stage 1 (stage 1 controller and intercoolers) plus Eventuri and EVS secondary cats. Posted here. https://f92.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...3&postcount=44 Stage 1 gave me 19 HP. $/HP pretty pathetic, but happy to have enhanced low temp cooling when running the car hard. Stage 2 controller is installed but no dyno as I needed to pickup car for track day. Azz-dyno didn’t reveal anything. Will do dyno next spring. Hopefully flash tune is ready by then. |
