Exhaust options for M850 Gran Coupe

Hi all! Done quite a lot of research on this but have not found many sound clips in in-depth reviews! After looking at the AMGGT 53 and 63, and the new S580 , I think I'm gonna stick with BMW and get an M850 grand coupe- i'm really trying to strike a balance between luxury, comfortable daily driving and performance, obviously not one car does it all but I feel this one hits the mark for a great price point! I will be wanting to do down pipes, intake and aftermarket exhaust coupled likely with a race chip black GTS like I have in my current X550i, What is considered the highest quality aftermarket exhaust for the M850? Also what are the options for quad exhaust rear diffuser? I guess another alternative is to look at the alpine a B8, anyone on here that actively posts have one?

Honestly you just need to ring up r33_RGSport he will hook you up on all that need. Best sound is way to subjective for a thread. Personally I haven't heard a bad one if that help not at all. With your list you will be very happy with the end results, just pick the one best suits your budget.

Appreciate your standpoint and I've certainly bought A ton from Ben In the past, I agree he has great customer service in a wide product range. That being said, I am looking for sound clips and personal reviews on fitment, etc. For down pipes I always go active Autowerke!

I have found a few YouTube clips that were highly distorted, of course the M8 has plenty of documented sound clips and reviews, but I'm not looking for a harsh daily ride!

I was just going to say sound clips don't ever sound near the quality of in person but you've already seen that on YouTube... As in harsh if you mean sound wise, I would avoid removing any of the cats that is what really opens up the sound here... Not sure but can you get the Mperformance exhaust for the M850i? To me that would be a better add on, it seems to be really well balanced between more sound and no drone. I think all that I have seen on the forum for M850i is the Fi Exhaust..

There aren’t many options for the M850i GC. All of them are expensive and I don’t know if they really make a big difference for the money that you are paying. None of the videos do a comparison with stock, which is what I prefer to see.

I gave up on modding my car, after considering it for a while. Just no good opinions. If you want best bang for your buck, go to a muffler shop and replace your muffler with an X pipe for cheap.

I'd personally go with something that has an 'X' pipe. I don't think the system above has it, as it sounds like a pushrod V8. I'd like a more refined sound, and less 'bassy'. I honestly think the stock exhaust sounds better than that Fi system, but to each his own, of course. Good luck.

Exactly my point on how subjective sound is to someone... lol I think the FI in that you tube video sounds exotic and so different that I like it.
