New m8 low on power?

Got a new 23 M8 Comp Convertible and tried it on the draggy. Tan an 11.17@123. The time seems ok but the trap speed seems way off. Everything I read they’re running high 10’s @ 128mph or so. Any ideas? (I did look up the break in period myth and that seems to be false that it gets more power after the break in period)

Many factors play a role in current run time numbers. Right now if I run mine I won't get much past say 3.4sec 0-60 and low 11's quarter. But winter time here and I've seen 3.04 0-60 and 10.91 quarter... So really is going to depend on what you got going on, weight, fuel and the list never ends when you are talking sub second readings.

Mine did get faster with mileage. But mine is a coupe which is faster than the convertible. That being said, your time was exactly what I ran at 1100miles. It was hot as hell though, mid 90s with DA around 2700
It now runs 10.9/10.8@126mph near stock (bmc filter and secondary downpipes) and 10.66@130mph with a race chip.
DA are 2500-3000 with temps in the mid to high 90s

Lol south Texas at this time of the year?? You are lucky you are in the low 11s with a convertible 🤣🤣

It's hot and humid as hell out here in Houston and always feels like 110-120 degrees everyday this summer.
The car has impressed me with being able to run mid 10s despite the weather. In 40 degree weather, this thing will fly!

That’s very slow and sad.

Sounds like you should’ve saved your money and gotten the M850i

Your numbers are really good for such a weather and conditions
I had a convertible and now a coupe
The coupe is much faster given it weighs less and the aero
The convertible is more fun and engaging when roof is down but you can feel the weight

Do the test very early morning when temps are lower ...that way you will know a few degrees rise midday to very early morning difference.
If there is a difference , then your car is👍 .
