Dahler exhaust valve controller?

I was wondering if anybody has ever bought/installed one of these?

https://www.daehler-tuning.com/produ...e-with-remote/

Instead of an exhaust, I was thinking this could be a much cheaper solution to enhancing the sound of the car

Its not software, just a unit that keeps the valves open all the time....

I had Ben aka r33_RGSport just have me put the car in sport plus with the engine on and rev it--- valves opened, he unplugged and they stay open all the time.

I guess the comfortability of having that controller is your ability to keep quiet but in reality Sport Plus software mode (or sport in your car I think) gives the car more pops and burbs- def in the M8 as non Sport Plus is just engine noise.

On my AMG GT, I had to get an valve controller because just tying them will set off a CEL. You needed an electronic controller to trick the system.

I would never do that on a BMW....pay $500 for something you can do for literally no money. I pulled the valve flap fuses on my M8 when the valves were opened and never looked back.

Is the same result as pulling the fuses with the valves open that others have done?

Not to sound like an idiot, but what exactly are you pulling when the car is revved?

I believe you can either pull the fuses or disconnect the plug at the exhaust…

Ill fathom the fuses work too as thats the root control but my guy just unplugged the actuator when the valve was fully open.

It doesn't, but it will show in ISTA that it is unplugged.

Anyone know which fuse to pull on a '22 M8? I like the idea of pulling a fuse rather than have exposed connections behind my rear tires

Do a search, I found a post on here that said which fuses. I just can’t find the post now.
