While your sentiment is noble, I don't think the OP was posting about his own car—it looks like it's merely a picture of a car on a dealer's lot.

That said: folks weren't being malicious... not how I read it anyway. The forums by design are for everyone to post opinions... sometimes they're opposing points of view.

There is a difference between having a personal preference, and telling others what they are sharing needs to be something else or in many cases that you don't like it. Perhaps it is a language thing?

I am always grateful that someone has taken the time and effort to take pictures etc to share something they appreciate or find interesting. If what any OP has posted is not to my liking I move on to another thread. There is no reason I need to tell them what they are sharing should be something else.

Just another opinion though, for whatever it is worth.

Everything about the M8 is great...except for the Fauxmeister Kink. From the profile view, it looks like someone forgot to complete that one detail on the car,

Nope. No way. The M6GC is the best proportioned Superman combo.

Looks nice but even a M850i blows the doors off an M6 (literally with a full 1 second lead at Laguna Seca with Randy Randy Pobst behind the wheel of both cars). So a M8 GC will just add insult to injury.

That said I'm a fan of the infamous "superman colors". My 2020 M850i coupe that I custom ordered has Tanzanite Blue (a stunning 3-layer paint that is chameleon depending on the lighting) as the exterior and Fiona Red/Black full leather as the interior. I've not met an individual yet (BMW service techs, co-workers, random people in the parking lot, etc.) that have not been absolutely stunned with the color combination. My favorite quote from the Penske Automotive service center rep whom see's it all (the Penske group here in Scottsdale covers Audi, Bentley, BMW, Jaguar, Lamborghini, Ferrari, etc.) being "holy shit that is gorgeous".

That is exactly the combo I had in my M850i euro delivery in 2019 May.

What is the camera looking thing in the grille of the Abu Dhabi M8?

There's something next to the M8 badge.

Since I don't have this feature nor the camera, I'm gonna guess that's the night vision camera.

That's a good shout.

I don't think it was even an option on my coupe in the UK, so maybe it's certain markets only.

My guess as well but did not choose that option on my 2020 M850i Coupe either as frankly useless for my needs. To that point if memory serves I think noushy has the option on his glorious M8C due to the deer in his area so possibly he can confirm.

Yes it's the night vision camera a FTIR camera that aids in pedestrian and animal detection. Around $3000 but worth it when you drive at night in rural areas. It saved me from a major accident with my daughter at 2am 30 miles from anywhere.
