Shocking result.
And @Joe: no, it was never going to be close once you'd both attained traction. |

Everything as expected, i.e., the M8C wins it all outside of the braking test given it's weight. I watched as frankly I love Mat Watson's humor and the absolutely unpretentious delivery in all of his reviews. To that point I'll bet he consciously chose the Drag Queen t-shirt for the video and quotes such as "this thing just hauls ass" is why I truly appreciate Mat vs the rest of the YouTube media reviewers.

Very true as I have several friends whom proudly state their UK citizenship no differently than I do for my US citizenship. However, in regards to you we are most definitely kindred spirits with our love for cars and an absolute passion in the world of infrastructure and software technology. My first clue was your posting on password hashing in regards to BMW's stupidity with obviously clear text passwords in the ConnectedDrive solution. The bromance and more importantly absolute respect just grew from there.

I really enjoy Matt's videos, but this was a pointless race, results were as expected.

The M2 has CUP tires? Anyways, interesting to see how much AWD makes a difference. But yeah, does it ever stop raining in the UK?

I expected the M8 to win the quarter mile but did not expect the utter destruction of the M2 Competition in every single mode of acceleration. I figured the lighter M2 to maintain the distance close yet I was wrong! The M8 is a flat out strait line beast! WOW!

What else would we expect given publish 0-60 times? I feel suckered into viewing just on a chance they were offering a new slant. Nothing.

I had a different impression. I was surprised on the roll race that the M2 picked up quicker initially and (at least the way the video represents it), it took the M8 a few seconds to finally pass the M2. I mean no doubt once going it was gone but at this power level, I expected it to pounce as soon as the pedal went down.

V8 TT vs I6 TT no comparison.. the S63 is a beast engine.
Not to mention AWD.. the M8 would probably still win with snow tires.
