Interesting older 8 Series

I stumbled on this on eBay and am posting it only because, love it or hate it, that is some seriously fine craftsmanship on that interior.

Interesting as didn't know the original 8-series had a V8 in the lineup. Guess that was the 840 as the 850 had an issue plagued V12. Back when my CA first told me about the M850i before the 2019 was even released Google searches pulled up the legacy 850 with the V12 and horror stories. I had to search 8-series concept to get a relevant hit but that changed once the BMW marketing machine went into overdrive.
