Trunk dont want to close / Convertible

Good morning my friends

I had yesterday a little "gremlin-encounter".

The automatic trunk did not want to close.

I assume the battery was a bit weak cause after the engine was running and after some minutes it worked again.

Anyone had the same or similar experience in the past?

I had this issue early on when I first got my ride. It would attempt to close but stop abruptly... But same as you some driving seems to solve the issue, I've not had mine in for service on this topic either..

Periodically my fob won’t open the trunk or lower the ragtop.

I switched fobs the last time I used the car, and the car didn’t want to recognize me when I walked up to it.

I only use the car about 150 miles a week, so by the time the next week rolls around, I’ve forgotten the previous week’s gremlins.

It’s not something I have encountered but in my experience if your stop/start isn’t kicking in that is a sure sign that the battery isn’t quite up to scratch but not low enough to generate a warning message.

Mine became erratic and louder at times when the hydraulic ram on the right side of the trunk lid failed... There's an integrated sensor in it that tells the convertible CVM module the position of the lid.

Warrantied but that's a $2200 part plus labor, sheesh!

That's what I was worried about when mine was acting up when I first got it... So far about a year later haven't seen that issue again. But then again wouldn't mind that being a warrant cost lol.
