I am about to pull the trigger on an M8 and am curious if anyone has the Montegi Red? The dealership does not have one but I think I like it from the options on the website.

In the afternoon and morning (last pic) it looks more like red and in the sunlight in the day (first pic) looks more orange similar to sunset orange on the M2

That looks a lot like Sakhir Orange to me - it would be interesting to see the two of them side by side

Here is an M8 Competition combining Motegi Red paint with Sahkir Orange full Merino leather interior.

Motegi Red looks more orange in person.
Sakhir Orange looks more red in person.
Each varies depending on ambient light.
Together, they blend.

The exterior paint in the photos I sent is Motegi Red. It is, as BMWBlog said, a chameleon. In bright sunlight, it's honey orange-red, while at night it's much redder.

We seem to not be communicating. I know it's confusing.

ALL the photos in this thread show the Motegi (not Montegi) Red exterior paint. It's confusing, because in sunlight, the color BMW calls Motegi Red looks more orange. But it's still called Motegi Red.

One of the photos in this thread shows a Motegi Red EXTERIOR with a Sahkir Orange INTERIOR. This is doubly confusing, because the color BMW calls Sakhir Orange is actually quite red looking.

The point is that Motegi Red looks orangey in most light, and Sakhir Orange looks reddish in most light.

I do hope this clears things up!
