Also, anyone over 6'4" is going to struggle mightily to get the seat in a comfortable position. I'm about 6'7" and the front seatback hits the rear seat cushion before I'm able to recline it properly. The rear seats are so laughably tight that they may have been better off making the car a true 2-seater with a hatch-like cargo area in the back instead.

The very reason 911's have child sized back seats.

Google "Alpina B7 vs" and you'll find videos of them trouncing everything from E63s to Hellcats, even the shiny new AMG GT4 gets smoked.

Y'all need to stop comparing BMW's to Porsche's... I'm a huge BMW fan, but you can't compare a front engine to a mid engine. The 8 series is great, but quit comparing it to a 911...compare it to a Panamera if you feel the need to compare

Did he just say that BMW removed 4-wheel steering from the M8?! Wow! Epic fail!

anxious to test drive the M8C and judge it myself
I was impressed with the M850 when I drove it I think the price is steep and the market for big sedans above 100 k is shrinking |

Those of you expecting an all conquering super car or Porsche performance for the same money, get serious. BMW has never been the best at anything, including in any measurable performance category against any similarly priced comparisons. Since dawn of time Porsche has wiped the floor in terms of handling, though GM has started to catch up since the C6Z. AMG and GM have also wiped the floor with BMW acceleration wise, until the new M5. Same goes for quality and design. M cars interior don’t hold a candle to Merc and Porsche.
All that notwithstanding, BMW builds a car that is good or great at just about everything, just not the best at anything. This M8 is no exception. It’s great at everything, but it isn’t the best at anything and this is consistent with BMW history. |

M5 Comp and M8 GC comp differs by 100 lb? On a straight it might show but if one is more track tuned than the piggy one can still out run
