Man y'all are brutal. We're a close family. We all use each others cars, keeps things interesting. My sister had my new-to-me Range Rover today and I had her C450.

I have owned sports and GT cars exclusively, aside from often having a tow car for the race cars as a utility vehicle.

My favourite five would include:

1 - 1958 MGA Twin Cam - one of a run of a couple of thousand cars that had four wheel disc brakes and a DOHC engine putting out 108 bhp @ 6,900 rpm, as opposed to the regular pushrod model with 79 bhp @ 5400 or so. Owned since 1970, raced since 1973. Raced in regular SCCA style classes until 1978, and thereafter a vintage racer.

2 - 1962 MGA Mk 2 coupe - somewhat improved by me with MGB engine and one of 521 cars made.

3 - 1956 MGA rebodied with Fiberfab Jamaican period body, running GM 3.4 V6 and BW T-5 trans (restored 2007)

4 - 1965 Jensen CV8 - one of 500 fiberglass bodied GT cars made immediately before the Jensen Interceptor (which I also own and would have made a 'best 6 cars' list) Four wheel disc brakes, 2375 bhp sixpack big block Chrysler power.

5 - 1969 Lamborghini Islero GT 400 GTS - one of 100 cars made with 350 bhp @7900 rpm V12 engine. Yeah, I know - horrid colour....

1. 2003 SVT Cobra - FBO was a daily and shouldnt have been but i had the most fun in this car than anything ive owned.

2. 2009 E92 M3 (current) - Love everything about this car other than it keeps breaking. Ps. ill take DCT down shifts all day long over 6MT. Yea i said it..

3. 1999 E36 M3 - started my love for BMW and still wish i wouldve kept it.

4. 2013 F150 Fx4 (current) - first truck and never thought id be a truck guy but i love driving this as a daily, the comfort of not having to worry about bumps/rail road tracks/road debris/liberals is a great thing!

Top 5 Cars:

Number 1: My current 2007 328i: it is both practical, decently comfortable, has amazing steering feel and decent power. Really, it is a car with very few sacrifices, I love the responsivness of the throttle and steering input, it is so direct and the mid range torque is great. For its time, I think it was way ahead of the compeition.

Number 2: 1996 Prelude SR-V: glorious engine, good torque down low but the engine had amazing high end power with a glorious sound. Good steering feel and futuristic dashboard, low seating position, comfortable seats. It was just completely impractical, it had back seats but it was very cramped and it started to rust like all other Hondas do.

Number 3: 1994 Acura Integra: it was the non VTEC so the engine was peppy down low but didn't have the great top end of the VTEC models. It was quite practical being a hatch and was very easy to work on because the engine was so small relative to the engine compartment. Great on gas too, but started to rust and I had a brake line fail on the highway.

Number 4: 1991 Honda Civic: I remember going from American boat like cars to this car, it handled like a go-kart and was the basic DX model. The handling was truly amazing.

Number 5: 1998 Volvo T5 SE: This was a great combination of power and luxury. It was amazing on long trips, super comfortable seats combined with amazing power but the power was only available when the boost kicked in. In town it was slow and it handled poorly. Amazing that it did not rust at all and it is still being driven to this day by the new owner.

I would like to buy a Porsche Panamera in the future considering I have a family.

Damn, some of you all have some great taste I cars, and some with garbage taste in cars. But I guess I shouldn’t talk since I once thought my ‘95 civic coupe was “pimpin as shit.”

I have only owned two and half vehicles in my life. The half is with my spouse which we bought after we got married. Technically my spouse now owns half of the vehicle I bought while single. I guess I take after my parents whom have owned 7 vehicles since 1960.

Garage List
2014 BMW X5  [0.00]
2011 Scion tC  [0.00]
1) 07 Mazda MX-5 - Most balanced, easy to enjoy all the time, inexpensive to run fun car, and the best car I have owned
2) 06 BMW Z4M - close second, more fun (thanks to the power), only pitfall is the constant worry of its questionable reliability
3) 11 Mercedes C63 - comically fast and comfortable doing it, comically horrid on gas.. and tires, a lot more capable in the snow than you'd believe, but man it is TIGHT in there
4) 03 MINI Cooper S - balanced, fun, regardless of weather, its fun in the summer on the track, and fun in the winter thanks to short wheel base and rotates on a dime, falls short on being FF
5) 03 Mazda Miata - Stock it is easily the most welcoming FR platform and although it is slow, it feels so much faster, turboed it was a total widowmaker, it didn't end up higher because of mostly me cutting corners turboing it.
6) 02 Civic SiR - It was brought as a beater, Honda reliability yet it drives very nicely almost like my MINI, it did not help mine was slowly rusting to hell though. But that Honda reliablity means, its now got over 400k and its still running
7) 11 370Z - If I brought the car only to cruise, and only drive 5/10s, 6/10s, it is amazing, it looks great, sounds great, inside looks great, but its looks is no excuse for when you push it beyond 7/10s at the track, mushy vague brakes, fuel starvation issues (even at city streets!), oil temp issues (again, even stock), prehistoric and slow LSD. And that's just the start
8) 96 Civic - Bargain basement equipment levels, bargain basement interior, but it does drive fairly well, its so amazing on gas and very very cheap to run, and its light enough to feel good tossing it into the corner.
9) 15 Golf 3 door - If it was any normal car buyer, its a great all rounder, its got tons of mid-range, well built, comfy yet grips well, and good on gas and practical. But it suffers from an absolute horrid clutch, and the fact that, it is the most boring car I have ever owned.

I tend to like cars for different reasons, so it's hard to rank them, but top five, in no particular order:

-Porsche GT4
-Honda S2000
-Porsche 991.2 Turbo
-F90 M5 Competition
-e46 328i

The RS3 was really a better car than the e46, but I have a huge sentimental attachment to my old 328i, so it stays.

if you really think that E46 M is last of the true M car, I assume you never driven E9X M. Owned both and loved E46 but E9X's are something else..

Spot on, anyone who says that hasn't driven a E90/e92 M3, it feels so exotic. After that the F series are just 335i's with an M badge.

I made a typo mistake, my M3 was a 2007 E92. Incredible car I wish I still owned.
