Does anyone think that the new M8 coupe needs more aggressive/wider wheels and tires set up?? They look skinny in my opinion.

I know that these will sell like hot cakes and that is what matters to BMW as a company. But what does that tell me about BMW as far as a place for enthusiasts?

It's not only that, but also their hideous looking EVs. How come that Audi is the one to put out a sporty and good looking EV and we're stuck with the iNext. This isn't fair
Sadly times have changed and SUVs are getting the M treatment over small and fun enthusiast roadsters. In the early 2000's I joked that an X5 M would be a crazy idea and here it is. Sadly the SUV-apocalypse is taking over and has just taken another vehicle from us (3 series wagon won't return to US). As for the Z4, I'm pretty sure the only reason we actually got one again was because Toyota wanting a Supra and they put in the money to build the Z4s and Supras. BMW doesn't want to spend the money (I don't blame them), but maybe a short run period/limited edition Z4 M's wouldn't be a bad idea. Its a sad day when more people buy X5 M's than Z4's.

So they lied about a high revving V8.

It's the same antiquated engine from 2009. 10 years from now if they still have V8 powered M cars they'll come with a tuned S63tuabcedfgh and call it a new 'reworked' engine.

The leaked m8 should have a much wider butt than 850i with 265, 21' and 315, 21'wheels on. It looks too tamed.

It looks like they could have fit some more GERMANCAR4UM watermarks in there. Super annoying.

The leaked M8C has 275 20s on the front. Cannot make out what it has on rear.

As that is the same as the M5, I'm willing to bet the rear will be 285/35r20

Not really, I have seen an 850 in person at my local dealer and it is a low wide car already... I think it would be borderline comical if it was any wider

Yeah they were posted. What I like most is that new line at the top of the rear quarter panel that the M850i doesn't have - I'm hoping for a wider rear.

Not sure what you mean? Perhaps I missed the detail. Do you have a comparative pic to show this? Would love to see it. Thx in advance.

How about the wheels on this prototype M8 GranCoupe? These wheels are the production version of the wheels fitted on the M8 GranCoupe Concept car. I suspect BMW will offer these wheels in all-black & also in bi-color.

Wheels are not the issue, those can be changed easily, it's the overall appearance of the car. It does not appear aggressive at all, borderline domesticated if you ask me.
