What's the typical cost to have someone swap out the brake pads for you?

So it's ballpark $1500 for the whole deal with all the pads?

Probably less but those are solid budgetary numbers.

Less if you are a reasonable person but you are the Snare so you will pay full retail plus ADM and a labor bump.

and fyi, its absolutely worth the install all joking aside ...

Zero dust and I love to brake late.

I've experienced that. These dealers see me showing up with my snare drum and they assume I can afford the extra. It's like that Cosby show episode when he goes car shopping and then they discover her is a doctor. 🏥🧑🏻‍⚕️🥁

I forgot about this post which I placed in a different thread--- about 60 miles of stop and go braking and hard stops after I installed the pads...

remember this is a zoomed pic and the naked eye cant discern those small specs

I don’t understand, if these types of pads offer the same or better perf than stock, and with little to no dust or squeaking, why doesn’t BMW make or use them?

I asked the same sort of Q.....only heard wind.
With the number of complaints on dusty wheels on BMW's, you'd think BMW would smarten up.

BMW pads covers wide range of usage.
Just say street use is 1, full professional endurance race is 10. BMW pads is covering 1-8. 8 as amateur HPDE.

With iSweep or other brake pads, it is divided into smaller range.
In iSweep, IS1500 and IS2000, is between 1-3 coverage.

Hope that can answer the question.

FWIW, Lexus offers two pad choices on the LC’s low dust/no squeal with touring, and dusty/some squeal with sport, having a choice especially for those that don’t track their M8’s would be nice. Really glad there’s an option via Ben, as always he comes through with the goods. What I want to know is if Vic55 ever made you eat McDonalds or he bought you a filet mignon? lol

I can't ask for more than what Vic55 has bring to the table for me. As long it is not Wendy's, I am still good with McDonald's,
Would be nice for some filet mignon from Ruth's Chris.

I worked at both, why do you think I have the cars I have...

I never saw a frozen patty ever, I mean ever, at Wendys... the meat came in a big fat soft bag like the amounts they paid me to work there as a cook.

I’ve had the sports brakes on my F93 for about a week. I don’t know If it’s in my head, but I prefer the feel of These brakes. Feels less like brake by wire. I haven’t washed the car since I replaced them so I don’t have a report back on brake dust.

Agreed 100%

I love that the moments before coming to a complete stop, the iSweep pads are the opposite of grabby. On top of virtually zero dust, IMO they're simply the best upgrade!

Mine is coming out of winter storage soon and straight to an Indy Porsche shop to have mine installed; it’s been a long winter, can’t wait.

Any leads on a shop around NE Ohio that would install these? Dealership won't do non-OEM, unsurprisingly.

Interesting. Actually had mine done at the dealership no problem. Southwest Ohio though.
