Aren’t there some pretty decent Faux CF wraps out there? Going to ask my ppf’r, could swear I saw a wrapped foil in her shop

It’s definitely a different look. Looks cool in my opinion. I took off the stock spoiler in my m850i coupe. I personally think the body lines of 8 series look pretty sporty even without anything on it.

If you’re going to do a wing, go big or go home 😉 I actually think it would be interesting to do a livery wrap like one of these GTE cars

Did you know from the installation the material of the rear trunk door? Is it aluminum or sbc?

Aerodynamic may be effected is ny concern , especially at high speed . I belive BMW did not add a bug spoiler for this reason . Looks wise ? Yes ! It does look good. I personally wouldn't but evry person has his or her own taste . Certainly adds a few BHP extra just by the looks . 👌

Looks great to me. I probably wouldn't want that much angle on it, but otherwise great.

It’s not for me, but if it puts a big smile on your face go for it.

I'[d like to be able to take it on or off. Some days I'd want it on and not on other days.

Now an 800hp jet black tinted out M8 with one. Ok you’ve got my attention but low key.
The wing is the most controversial mod I have encountered to date for the M8. I love it.

Those look better than mine, but that was my thinking.

It's a fail and this is why. The trunk height and weight of posterior visual proportion in the coupe form are far too rear distributed given the overall shape( gt sport style). The wing adds to visual presence in the rear. The goal should be a wing that ends the shape abruptly or flattens the rear.

I would say most that have seen it agree with you. I am always experimenting with different options to maximize track performance. Not sure how long the big wing phase will last but thought I’d share as it is a wing thread.

I recall taking a look at a wrap for the GTE and possibly when you posted this. It would be interesting for sure.

Maybe aesthetically it’s not so pleasing but aerodynamic it will work. I think the GTE car has it right in both regards. Now where to get one if I was brave enough to go with the wrap.
