3 series compact coupe.

Does the series 1 was a replacement of the series 3 compact version (Ti)?
i wish we could have a 2 door series 1. beacuse i doubt that bmw will release an e90,e92,e?? series 3 Ti version. i love the idea of a small BMW hatchback.
i used to drive a 00 323ti compact.

BMW will be releasing a 1-series two door hatchback, and 1-series 2 door coupe and a 1-series cabrio with softtop.
There won't be a 3 series hatchback anymore.
