PDC
Is everyone's PDC coming on automatically when pulling into your garages? Mine does only when getting close to something in front but not the sides. If I activate manually it works fine. Our Audi 2017 Q7 had the similar issue even after software updates. Anyone having this issue or know why? I did make sure the settings were all correct ie Auto PDC checked. Thanks

Thanks. I did find that once PDC is auto activated (green LED on) when parking, if you change screens and then drive again (w/o turning off car) at speeds under ~20mph and try to park again, the screen will not come on unless you manually deactivate the button. When pulling into our garage between two car even getting close to the sides of each, it will not activate until it senses the wall or something directly ahead. FWIW, on our S550 coupe or Audi Q7 they are able to warn of getting close on the sides of either the front or rear bumpers. In all fairness to BMW, the Audi system may or may not come on when it should even after the latest updates but it still does a better job at f/r side warnings.

My PDC only goes off in reverse when going out of my garage. I dont think you can control the sensitivity. It will even randomly do it when using the auto reverse feature.

It's been a mystery for me as sometimes I'll pull into the garage and it won't turn on until the last minute when approaching where I need to stop due to the landing (step up to the entry of the garage/house door). Solution has been just to get close enough to the garage entry wall as entering to flip it on and then park normally.

Should add my bitch is when backing out sometimes the car will throw on the brakes based on the side clearance (with plenty of room to spare) or a bush on my side of the driveway with unless properly trimmed triggers in t as well.

It always comes on automatically when reversing for me. When moving forward, I have to be within ~1ft for it to come on automatically from the front... for the sides it's similar, but I want to say I have to have the wheel turned. Any other situation and I have to turn it on manually.
