Newbie, loving my new M8. [Pics]
Waddup all,
Been trolling this forum for months. Finally pulled the trigger on a 2022 M8 w 5K miles. Lots to learn. First impressions are this beast is stunning. I am a Corvette enthusiast and a wrench turner. I look forward to learning more about this amazing machine here. It was a picture day today. Not pictured is my Macan Turbo, white on red, also an amazing beast. I don't recognize it but it's worth the shot as although there are a lot of what looks to be a Skyscraper/Sakhir spec the carbon fiber buckets are somewhat rare. They are a bit polarizing as people either love them or hate them (guessing you're on the former side). I'm on the fence as went with a buddy in a test drive in a M3 he was considering with them. I could go with them but I also know it's a no go option as the wife will be on the hate them side of the equation as she already bitches about getting in/out of my M850i with the standard seats. 😜 Ultimately my guess is for the second fob you'll need to pick one from a BMW dealership. BMW changed the rules so although the former go to option of Bimmertech for a better price they can't sell them anymore. Good luck 👍 |

I love them, it feels like you are sitting in a roller coaster. If I was any fatter I think my love handles would pop out of my ears. They are clumsy to get in and out of, my wife was laughing at me 1st time she saw me trying to get out and not rub the side bolster too much and hit my head on the window

Awesome.
I'm picking up a low mileage 2020 M8 convertible this wkend. Coming from C5 & C7 Corvette convertibles, but I don't like the C8 convertible's looks with the humps, & Jaguar F-Type R convertible. Really looking forward this M8's 600 hp for me & luxury creature comforts for the wife... |

Nice, congrats, start a new thread w pics. Are you on corvetteforum.com? I have over 10K posts on there since 2001. I was thinking about a C8 vert, but I have already been through an amazing Vette experience w mods, shows etc. Wanted to try something different and my little one, 1st grader of 3 boys can ride w me and he loves saying BMW. All my boys can ride w me. Plus I dont miss the Chevrolet dealership experience at all.

Cool. Yes, I'm same name on corvetteforum for my C5 & C7 verts.
Drove up to Dallas to pick up my 2020 M8 vert this past wkend, to drive back down to Houston. Only 2,388 miles, so virtually almost brand new.... |

As an aside observation, it doesn't look like your hood is fully closed on the left side (from the head on view) |
