Can't beat the familiarity of the long-haul 747's. I also like the Airbus A340 long haul.

I absolutely abhor any Airbus. The damned seats are so bloody small. And I'm not exactly a large person.
The only pretty part about the A380 is the wing with its sweeping curves.

Yes, Coach is 2-5-2 in 777 and I like it much better than 3-4-3 in the 747, though, again, I end up in the Emergency exit seats 95% of the time going over the Pacific. On the A340 note, I did it only twice -- once Singapore - FRA (16.5 hours) and it was definitely more comfortable business class than 744. However, I find the A340/330 to be noisier and more bumpy (due to wing design) than the large Boeings... |

The A380 was at O'hare yesterday.
I dont like it too much, there are so many delays with it, and many companies are starting to cancel orders. I like the Boeing 787 better. Its more fuel efficient and faster. Also many airports have to do expensive upgrades just to accomidate the A380. Not worth it in many people's eyes. ". The aircraft[787] is swift and fuel efficient, with a cruising speed of Mach 0.85. It is smaller and can access regional airports without fuss. It also has a range that can extend to 16,000km carrying about 280 passengers. The good news for passengers is the B-787 is pressurised for a lower altitude and with higher cabin humidity." |

If I recall the BA 777 is 3-3-3 in economy.

I was in the unfortunate position to sit right smack in the middle on a trans-atlantic flight. It was awful

It all depends on the config of the T7, if its one of BAs World Traveler planes, its 3-3-3.

I use the AA over the Pacific and ANA sometimes, and they are 2-5-2... I submitted the link for future reference (and to show I was wrong), not for the Robot to spend hours looking through all the airlines trying to prove something... |
