Cool My very own 2022 Frozen Black M8C GC upgrades thread...

Starting this thread to keep track of my mods and to gain or share the knowledge.
Dealership just completed my break-in service. Time to teach this car to fly...

Following mods installed:
  • Vinyl film on the taillights
  • PPF film on the headlights
  • XPEL ceramic window tints (5% rear / 20% sides / 45% windshield)
  • Full car XPEL Stealth PPF film
  • Ceramic coating
  • Miscellaneous Bimmercode stuff
  • Rewired plugs for always-on M8 badges on front seats
  • Acexxon rear reflector insert set
  • IND painted carbon fiber BMW roundels
  • IND painted front reflector set (Frozen Black)
  • IND painted license plate frame (Frozen Black)
  • Quick access biometric safe for Sig MCX Rattler
  • Thinkware U1000 dashcam with radar module (front and back)
  • Rodenzo ALP with 6x heads + 2x antennas (2 Rx + 1 Tx heads, front and back)

Audio upgrades so far:
  • Audiotec Fischer Conductor integrated with Rodenso ALP display
  • All B&W factory speakers connected to Helix V Twelve DSP Mk2 (12-ch x 120w)
  • Removed under-seat subs and disabled rear deck speakers
  • Sealed dual subwoofer enclosure in the trunk with beauty panels
  • 2x 12-inch Adire Audio Brahma Mk 2.5 Rev. A subwoofers (1000w with XBL2 topology)
  • Hi-Res Audio BT card installed into Helix V Twelve (provides 24-bit / 48kHz wireless connection via LDAC / AptX HD)
  • Fiber optic cable extended from Helix V Twelve to center console, connected to FiiO M11S player (for lossless FLAC files)
  • 2x Helix M One X amplifiers for subs (bridged - 2060 watts to both subs)
  • Deadening for the trunk + 2x power distribution boxes near the battery
  • Sound system is tuned by Devine Concepts

In my opinion, factory installed Bowers & Wilkins tweeters and midrange speakers sound super nice and clean. Instrument separation and tonality are insane.
For comparison, I am rocking KEF LS50 Metas + KF92 Subwoofer in my office, and they sound almost the same, considering the difference in the environments.
Brahma subs are also one of the best SQ subs (to my ears, at least). Very bright and ultra low distortion. They sound much deeper vs Audiofrog GB12 subs on my truck.

Mods that I ordered or pending install:
  • Evolution Racewerks catless secondary downpipe
  • Eventuri carbon fiber air intake
  • Eventuri carbon turbo inlet pipes
  • Akrapovic Evolution cat-back exhaust system with carbon fiber tips
  • CSF charge-air-cooler set
  • RG Sport RGB DRL lights
  • Evolution Racewerks hi-flow catted primary downpipe
  • KW V4 suspension kit
  • Akrapovic rear carbon fiber diffuser (High Gloss)
  • Sterckenn carbon fiber front splitter
  • The Dinan tension strut ball joint kit
  • Dinan suspension link kit

Once BMW dealership installs all of the above, I am planning to send both DMEs to Finland, for FEMTO unlock and Bootmod3 flasher preload.
I am still on the fence regarding which of the BM3 tuning companies to use.

After some research, I narrowed down my list to following choices:
  • OrlandoAUTOwerks (tuner from NYC, moved to SWFL)
  • Matthew Lambert | Cedar Performance
  • hc.performance (hcp.us)
  • Utka Noa / utkunoaperformance (UNP)
  • Halim Cazimi / HCP.dk

Finally, these are the upgrades I might get in the distant future:
  • Azaautowheel custom steering wheel
  • Additional sound tuning by Vanguard Automotive (formerly Apicella)
  • TTE920+ upgraded turbochargers
  • Forged engine build by RK Autowerks

So I decided to install everything myself, except for KW V4s and CSF charge coolers. Anyone know which tools needer for charge coolers? Like you need something to drain stuff?

I believe you cannot due to how the subframe and engine make up the front end... you only need to set jack stands on lowest settings put one on at a time and then go around to lift them one by one... It's a pain that is why I bought a quick jack. lol

Awesome, thanks for info.
I ended up putting:
- 3 jack stands
- 4 tire ramps (jack stands too cheap for me to trust them alone)
- 1 floor jack on front drivers side
