Which tires wear faster ???
Hi, so I hit a pothole destroying my runflat. Instead of buying new, I decided to buy used, to get closer to the wear on my other side. ( staggered setup)
So on my fronts now, I will have one tire with 8/32nds and the other with 7/32nds. Have you guys noticed if either side wears faster, driver front, or passenger front. TIA. . |

I suppose it depends on your daily route. Are you making more right turns or more left turns? I don稚 believe the vehicle inherently wears more on one side or the other unless you have an alignment issue on one side.

My problem is today I’m a bit of an asshole because someone pissed in my cornflakes. Normally I’d just move on to the next thread, but this goes down as one of the all-time dumbest questions I’ve ever seen. You’ll realize it later.

Or he could always just turn more corners than another and it may compensate for the 1/32 difference. Of course better measure often to be sure.

Hey Dr, I suppose you think that the phenomenon of tire rotations is a big waste of time as well, right? I wont realize anything later. Just move along.
Anyway, I think I got my answer from __AD__ . Thanks. |

From replacing my tyres once, the left hand (passenger tyres - UK based) we池e a little more worn than the drivers. I suspect it痴 because we have lots of roundabouts here, so spend more time turning right. Seems logical to me!
