The G23 4er dictches the hardtop roof not Justin for weight purposes but also for design aesthetics.
The angular straight roof would not work with the new broader haunches of the G22 and sleek roof line.

We will be seeing the first prototypes of G22 testing in public soon.

Agreed. MB rear looks amazing in comparison. The vents here are too busy.

Most likely BMW's official photographer for publication.

It has neither an iconic style nor a sexy appearance, as with the S class cabrio. It looks like an ugly oversized 4 series. Can't believe after that awesome concept. Some actual people at BMW seems to have great talent to ruin genius design ideas

Ah... the 8 series convertible. Aspire to be driven gently at 55kmh over deserted roads once in a month. feel the gentle air in your receding gray hair is you waft alone in comfort of a car that costs same as 911 Turbo and feel perfectly adequate. It can park itself, drive itself, and has a big engine that will push you out of traffic lights, though rest assured, you will not hear its noise, no need for such loud emotions here. 8 series convertible. utterly pointless because you cant afford a Rolls.

Cool story bro.

911 Turbo is in a much larger cash category.

It cheapens the look, yes.

Sure as hell look cheaper than a 488 Spider, 650S Spider or Portofino. The coupe counterparts of the cars you mention look a lot better without the ugly fabric spoiling the look.

Heck even the discontinued Infiniti Q60 convertible looks better than most soft tops on sale today. Not to mention hard tops are more durable in countries with harsh climates. Thank God for Ferrari & McLaren.

To each their own... Even though 2/3 of the cars you mentioned are spyders and not full on drop-tops. Even then, Im not a fan of the California/portofino tin top roofs either. The reason I dislike the general tin top convertible is because of the folding roof panel gaps which look gain for subjective aesthetics over a soft top just variant put me off even more (psychological) ... But as you have already noted in my previous post, their coupe counterparts are the better looking and performing cars.

It's a forum dude, just chill !

Yes you can of course buy an Eight.

But you're not buying a 911 Turbo in the same price point.

Yep, and it does on the Coupe too.

IMO, they just completely f'ed up the rear of the car. A deal breaker on a $120k car.

Whatever happen to “If you don’t have anything good to say don’t say anything” Some love it some don’t but if you don’t why all the judgements on the people who do... sheesh.
