Reverse Mirror Dip

Hi all
I’ve had numerous vehicles with reversing passenger mirror dipping. I like reading manuals. I cannot fathom how to adjust the dip angle of the passenger mirror when putting the car into reverse. The mirror dips so much that I can barely work out what I’m looking at. Any solution?
Thanks :-)

I dont think you can adjust how much it dips. I had the same problem and now what i do is i dont let it dip at all. Lol
i think this is the only way to go.

Yeah BMW has it set up so if you try to set the location when its dipped- it reverts back to the regular setting.

Its weird.

You can get it coded to tilt to a less severe angle. I had it that way until I got a software update that erased all of my coding. Haven't had a chance to recode it.

Fixed this with bimmercode. Drops 80% now instead of 100%. Think it can be adjusted in 20% increments.

Thanks for everyone’s replies. Ive had many BMW’s over the years, how bizarre that they’ve chosen to fix what is such an adjustable setting. At least I know I’m not kissing something and the 360 camera works pretty well

This is an important part of my set of standard coding tweaks. Rich did mine but I'm sure Ben also knows how to tweak this.

The default angle is utterly useless.

Yeap.
Been coding that feature a lot.
I need to see how close my rear wheel to the curb, instead of how many used straws laying by the curb.

Exactly. It beggars belief that this still requires aftermarket mods to fix.

What's the BimmerCode variable for this? I can't find it.

Ben/rgsport coded mine, but you can also do it easily with bimmercoded.
Ben set mine to 50% and that was still too much for me. I got bimmercoded to 20% and it works for me.

I do not—my coding guy keeps these ones to himself and I've no reason to diff it or go looking. I can't be bothered to keep up with the ever-changing state of the art and am happy to pay.

PM me if you want contact info.

The Bimmercode thing looks great. Of the options above, the different interior colour options look interesting. I really like the blue but its too bright at the top level for dark driving.
I have now turned the curb dip off.
