Not just M850i, and it doesn’t seem like that many cars are affected, ~901 total.

A voluntary recall on brakes, sounds almost reckless.... brakes and steering are arguably the most important pieces in avoiding an accident.
We are sorry we didnt do a good job welding sir.

As Vic said that is scary stuff. Seems like they are trying to downplay it.
I'd want to know ASAP if there was ANYTHING questionable about the brakes on any car, never mind high performance one! Thankfully it doesn't apply to my Convertible as my build date was 01/20 (FYI for anyone who doesn't know you can check the VIN sticker in your door jamb for your build date) |

So is this just for US cars? I would imagine the fault could apply to cars globally? Haven't heard anything here in the UK.

Ugh. Prod dates match for both my x6m and m8. Maybe I'll call Bmw.

I checked through my trusted SA in Germany and there is nothing open for my (non-US) M850i G15. If there is a recall in the US it does not automatically mean that EU, UK or any other Regions' models are affected too. However double checking is always a good idea. |

I belive my 2021 X5M is within the production dates. Amazing that the all-new M4/M4 is affected.
