Carbon fiber paddle shifters
Hello Everyone
I would like to share with you my experience of replacing the paddle shifters. I was hesitant initially paying 400+ dollars to get 2 pieces of paddle shifters for my leased car. I was looking for other cheaper options and i didnt want extenders because they look cheap. Them one day i looked on ebay and found carbon fiber paddle shifters from china shipped for 130 dollars. I was hesitant initially given dono the quality and the huge difference in price compared to autotecknic ones. I pulled the trigger and decided to try the one from china for 130 $and i am surprised how good and solid and high quality those paddle shifter felt. They work flawlessly. I Ordered them on jan 28 got them today and just installed them and went for a drive. It is night and day compared to the OEM ones. Yes this is why i tried the chinese one. Paying 500 $ for paddle shifter it is a lot knowing you can't easily sell the oem ones

FWIW, I purchased two different AutoTecknic sets and sent them both back because I wasn't happy with the quality for the price.

To be honest 2 pieces of aluminum or carbon fiber shouldn't cost more then 200$. I am very pleased with my 130 dollar carbon ones. If you want i can pm you the one i got this from |

In case others are looking at AutoTecknic, I would say their aluminum ones are good quality. My issue with them was the paint, the "red" was a much different color than the interior M1/M2 and Start/Stop buttons in the cabin, and the paint in the +/- needed to be cleaned up. If I had gotten them in a different color, I would have likely been okay with them. My second set was dry carbon, the weave on those was just unacceptable, I suppose they had a sort of "hand crafted" kind of look, but there wasn't a straight line to be found.
