Tom on another day. Maybe you could coach him.

Heres a couple of Jaguars losing it later in the day.

The weather was changable, the track very, very slippery at times... it's easy to judge.

Goodwood festival of speed is the best motor show there is in my book: instead of staring at static cars in a showroom, you see the new cars, old cars, strange things, F1, rally cars ... and they all get to run the hill climb if the manufacturer send them there

You need to be able to afford at least 2 before taking it to an HPDE, a good 10 before you could race it, and apparently all of them before you take it to the FOS.

The point is no matter how a car is well engineered, it's against the physics law to drive a 200 inche / 4800 lb car at that speed into that short turn and if FOS is the place that cars have to show how well they can be driven and pass those turns , this is not the right car for that place no matter who (person or company) has decided to take it and if this is the company so even worse since they have over estimated their cars. If the car was 911 or E9x/F8x M3/M4 then was easily able to handle but B8 is over 15" longer and over 1200 lb heavier that those cars! Oh Man this is 5 meter / 2200 kg car

Believe me I had/have lots of high performance cars (M3/M4/M6/M8) drove some of them on race tracks and especially with experience of my F13/M6 and F92/M8 am so familiar with this platform/suspension/engine which is very similar to B8.

Let me leave this video here when Randy Pobst drove M6 over Laguna Seca back in 2013 and said "Driving the M6 is kind of alot of work"
And FYR, M6 is 8" shorter and 600 lb higher than B8

Way to try and recover there, as that was definitely not your point. You had not clue what FOS was by your comment. If you did, you would know that they send MUCH heavier kit down the driveway than a B8. The fact that randy pobst drove an m6 on a track to begin with shows that some people will take such cars to the track. I've never seen an M8 at the track personally, but I've seen X3m's, X5's, panamera's, etc. all doing trackdays with me.

Goodwood wouldn't exist if it wasn't for the manufactures that support it by bringing whatever the best is of what they've made, and hooning it down the driveway. That's what makes Goodwood what it is--an incredible annual car event.

Seems if it doesn't happen in the US many have no clue about anything whatsoever.
Oh & stop comparing this event to some track day your ignorance is appalling.
This is a major international event that is broadcast live worldwide over several days where leading manufacturers & private owners celebrate some of the greatest performance cars & most famous race cars ever built.
It's kind of like the ultimate interactive motor show & fans travel from all over the world to be a part of it (at least they did before COVID).
Heh, we're just getting on board with F1 now that we could binge on a Netflix series related to it.

Its a shame tho

Why would you track this car? Obviously he's got stock tires, suspension, etc. I get wanting to go fast. Back in high school I had an 81 Z-28 that I had up to 147, couldn't get to 150 due to a hood scoop that was loose. No air bags, no seat belt usage (that's how old I am). But I did this on a straight away. Same with my 6 series. I've had it up to 130 on the interstate but it was a straight road and no traffic.
Yeah, In college I had my 1990 Z Twin Turbo at 162 at 2am in the interstate, and no airbags. What an idiot.
Similar high school racing yarn since the statute of limitations in FL has expired: two exits on I-10 were about 4 miles from one another. Friend and I took my dads 500SEL Mercedes and his 1998 trans-am and would race from exit to exit. Got up to about 130-135 in dead of night. Quite exhilarating. Happy to be alive tho. Never again. Well until we rent that X5M from Sixt on our next European vacay.

Funny when something like this happens, so many people become professional drivers (especially people that have never driven on a track once) and attempt to give feedback as to what actually happened.

At least this guy had the guts to run at Goodwood! He isn't sitting around racking up lame appreciation points by talking!
