Selling my 2020 Dravit M8 Convertible with 23K miles...help on price!
After 3 glorious years, I need something more practical and she is now up for sale. Just bought my lease out in May for $87K and am asking only $70K now with 23K mikes. While there are cheaper ones, none I could find come close to this condition, options, and with all the goodies. I'm well aware the payback for the extras is minimal, but this car is a gem. Engine/suspension are STOCK. Used launch control just a few times and been to the track ONCE. Had a Race Chip (you can have it) but took it out a year ago. Speed limit is 35-40 mph everywhere, so I can't even drive/accelerate fast. Clearly a bad time to sell in the Midwest, but this car is stored all winter, came from Florida, and I'll ship anywhere. Any thoughts or advice on the sale would be appreciated.
Listing below and on Autotrader (need to post more places): https://f92.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=2070722 Link to video and pics: https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/1CoH8KJEMDeSxZCS7iuLgDgJAjzNKVOKF?q=sharedwithub lic%20parent:1CoH8KJEMDeSxZCS7iuLgDgJAjzNKVOKF $160K sticker with every option and ONLY 23K miles. Dravit Grey Metallic with Silverstone full Merino leather. Stored in heated garage for the winter and has NEVER seen rain, snow, or cold weather. Gorgeous ceramic coating and hand washed only. I'm the guy who parks far away/alone in the lot. Lovely car - spec is everything with these cars, and will mean much more to someone buying privately or a good independent dealer than it does to BMW. Good luck with the sale.

Thanks! Yeah, BMW dealers don't give a crap about any of it. When I was looking for an M8, I would have much preferred to buy a car like this than a stock used one off the lot without the extras and wtf knows how that owner took care of it. Just the ceramic and extra wheels/tires alone.

Unless I'm missing it both here and in the classified ad, I don't see that you say how many miles the car has.

Geez...wow have these depreciated fast and damn I should have just turned the lease in. Lowered the price to $70K. Seems like a steal with the condition, add-ons, low miles, warranty, etc. What do you guys think on the price???

I think it's a very fair price given the low mileage.

Honestly if it wasn't a convertible I'd jump in it and sell the M850i. My problem being 6'6" and the different slope of the convertible windshield vs the coupe removed it as a reality for me. Those roughly 2 to 3" makes a world of difference in visibility (in a vert I'm looking out the top of the sun visors even with the driver seat at the lowest it can go.
That said good luck and anyone who grabs it will be golden based on the spec. Dravit was my first choice until BMW FUBAR'd my 1st order and in the process I finally was able to see Tanzanite which changed my destiny. Regardless Dravit is gorgeous no questions asked. 👍 |

Very fair price especially considering the spec. We all own a depreciating shit show when it comes to the 8-series (or any large coupe) as the market dictates sedans, SUVs, etc. Some lucky individual will get a total winner once purchased from the OP.

Access that site and look up the history/pricing of M8s. I think you might get more than $70K especially considering your specs and condition. I myself will have a decision to make in 5 months when the lease on my 2022 M850 Convertible is up. My buyoff is only $63K and I think it will be worth a little more than that...but I am not sure of what I will do. |

Sure, it would just be nice to get some decent money back for on trading to the Porsche dealer next year because Porsche is very proud of their cars and likely only going to get worse with the 992.2
