While we are obviously going to be a bit bias because we have M6s, I can happily say the new interior looks more modern and I like it overall. However I really wish they had kept the leather swoop that heads up from the center console, across the passenger side of the centre stack an up to the dash and glovebox area.
When I first started looking at M6s a few years ago it was that feature that always made the car’s interior very special. While the new interior looks nice, it will end up being so close to the styling of the X5, X7, new 3er and so on which detracts from how special it should be. |

Seriously, is this not a perfectly designed interior? You're saying the new, ultra-generic-in-every-Honda/Acura interior of the 8'er is better? Please. Son, don't make me laugh... |

Clean minimalistic interior is the way forward. One of the main reasons why Audi interiors are regarded as the best

This 8-series pays no homage whatsoever to the original. No long hood with a sharp nose and narrow kidneys, no pillar-less windows. It's a good looking car but also just looks like a "big" BMW. It's missing that something special. And BMW has gone too simple with the interior design just as they did with the 7-series. Even Audi's latest interior are more daring and eye-catching in comparison. |

How is it hating if an existing 6 series owner finds the 8 series exterior BETTER and the interior worse? Believe it or not most people buying this car will be existing 6 series owners. Merc S, Bentley CGT owners couldn't be bothered about this while folks that want something sporty would opt for a 911 or somethin similar.
I love my 6er but the M850i looks like a nice upgrade so far. Can't wait to test drive one and see if it's worth getting over an LC500 as a replacement (I don't care about 0-60 times). |

In regards to the Infiniti though, nobody seems to be buying it so it's irrelevant. |

As the others have said while the 8 series interior is nice, I was expecting more. For the time the 6 interior was awesome, I think they could have taken that and moved it up market even more. I will hold final judgement until I see in person but I will say the 6 was my favorite design, and this looks like a good evolution of it.
