Dang, is that frozen brilliant white on the m8? I am considering that color on a m8GC in a couple years when my lease is up.

But yea, exhaust sounds underwhelming when compared to a m5c. M2 sounds better

that would get annoying and both being revved does not sound all that great.
I remember when I first heard "burbles" in my new 2010 Mini JCW, I thought to myself; 'this is cute but it will never catch on to BMWs, they're too sophisticated and luxurious to sound like a old, broken down Honda..'

Fast forward to 2020, ALL BMWs, down to the 320i has burbles..

Way to keep it classy, BMW.

I don't understand how the "snap, crackle, pop" exhaust bullshit sound is actually desirable....big fan of euro inline 6's and American v8s. This recent trend really sucks and these sound like shit. I don't care how much the damn exhaust was.

This is absolutely correct. Agree 1000%

Yep.

Love the cars, hate the idiots who own them now.

This is how the BMW V8 should sound

My best mate had the aero 8 4.4 with side exits. Sounded proper tough.... and set off car alarms going down the street which made me chuckle.

IMO M2 kills it. M8 is a little more refined.

I am generally underwhelmed by the sound of all current BMW V8s. I know turbos make everything sound worse, but Mercedes can manage a decent sound out of them.

I had an SL63 Biturbo w/AMG performance pack (M157) and the sound it made was nothing short of thunderous. To be fair, the N63 in the M850i spunds just as good. The M cars with their S63s somehow sound worse than the M performance V8s.
