Another barge! It amazes me why the 8 has less interior space than the 4...together with the weight penalty, who would buy the M8 over the upcoming M4?

i agree. with all the m3/4 bits they are throwing at the m2 i bet the m4 moves up to be an m6 replacement and the m2 becomes the new m car paired with the m3 instead.

so basically we should anticipate BMW killing off the 4GC, replace it with the 3GT call it the 4GT, sales will tank and they will move all the 4er coupes to 6er coupes after they kill off the 6GT

It's actually shorter than the M6 by an inch or so, which is funny considering BMW getting bigger every where else

I suspect they aren't trying to appeal to power/weight/performance demographics.

More luxury, comfort and grand tourer buyers. Thinking they want the guys that buy the Bentley GT and S class coupes.

I don't doubt what you are saying. I just don't get why someone would want a big coupe with zero space in the back, which is harder park in congested UK parking spaces.

I will know I have gone soft if I ever become one of them.🤣🤣

I got my M6 because of those things over an M4. If I had to say a few things in particular:

V8 noise
Dash design
Ventilated seats
600ps
80 litre tank
Better seats (for me)

I have my reasons for not choosing a DBS/S63/S65/Conti GT and so on. Mostly around gearbox, weight and rwd. I wanted a 4 seater with a V8 and a DCT or 6MT.
