Plain dash board and a straight wood board with round holes doesn't scream design or style nor imagination to me. Actually, in my opinion is really ugly and will never buy such horrific interior. Mercedes interior look exactly like the 50's cars where the dash board was a straight panel and anytime you want to install something on it, you drill a new hole and have it done. Can't believe that the middle section doesn't flow with the dashboard. Also the door armrest that just goes simple without anything happening in there looks exactly like a cheap shitty car door panel. And that "wall" lcd is a vomit! Ewww! BMW interior still looks like a cockpit, it flows from top to the armrest, is ergonomic and you can tell that there is a loot of work in it. It is refreshing to see that in this case they decided to flow the whole cockpit and not make it from two different parts like some new models. Bottom line, BMW approach is on the sporty side and that's how it should be. BMW is an athlete not a model, that's the difference between the two. |

It seems that there'll be a vertical tach possibly in sport modes, but most likely the full digital dash shown in the leaks will probably be an option/part of the executive package, so you can still get the "older" more traditional digital dials.

Wayyyyy too many buttons everywhere. There is a happy medium between no buttons and too much eyes off the road touchscreen UI (Tesla model 3) and a 1980s production 747 with friggin buttons everywhere.

Don't understand what "performance" are people talking about from a car that weights in the vicinity of 4500lbs. Does straight line acceleration mean performance?
Are these cars (including S coupe) not considered to be "high end luxury muscle cars"? If so, I believe the S class nails it with the higher end interiors. Want a performance BMW, and are ok with simple interiors?— Get a M2 comp. |

Not sure how I feel about the new direction that BMW is going. Seems as if a new creative director stepped in and said we are going to do everything the opposite. First the switch/change on the X1/X2 badges on the rear of the vehicles and now counter-clockwise tachometers.

Gonna have to wait for the official reveal because these leaked pics look a bit lame, for the money they're going to charge for it I don't think it's too much to expect something above and beyond from them. Those central air vents look comically small compared to the rest fo the dash but it might just be due to the crappy quality of the pics that the surfaces look weird. For the moment it doesn't look like it comes close to the S-Class Coupe but we'll see

If the base 8 series is priced anywhere near the base S Class with THIS interior it is DOA.
Even the biggest BMW fanatics can't argue that. This is not the interior to compete with high end luxury like the S Class and A8. Hell, it just barely beats out the LC500. |

I just can't wait to see the final result. remember the new 7 series??? It looked very ugly from the spy pics? Are you used to it now? do you like it?
because I do. Now whem it comes to the design, that kind of line remind me a little the new Porsche interior design, sharp lines many buttons etc... guys that's the current trend i guess. i just hope the all weather mats will look better (joke lool) |

Same here! Still wondering why BMW stopped the two-tone seats for the M5 after the E39 went out of production. For the F90 it's just a cheesy strip down the middle of the seats for some of the lame interior colors.
