Folks - why does my 2024 M8 GC sound so much louder than my 2021 M5 Comp?

It feels and sounds like a total hooligan.

Honestly the hardware of the cars is probably not the change factor here...It could be placebo?

Now this isnt an F90 vs M8 comparo but:

My GC M8 didnt sound as loud as my Coupe stock and even Ben at RG confirmed but we both concluded that the shorter exhaust length vs the GC might be the main reason. Plus the exhaust is closer to the drivers ears but Ben swore I had already done the secondary dps but I hadnt.

So with the F90 comp you get the M sport exhaust (dont confuse with M performance) so the mid pipe is more flowing compared to a non comp M5. So in your case your F90 was already pretty loud. The M8 is already set up that way as well so hardware is cant be the thing here...

Most think the software on the newer cars actually took away from the sound. I dont know for sure but most swear by it.

So with all that being said, I have no idea LOLOL
