I wanted a sports car not a big heavy GT. If you want a GT than can be sporty with no usable back seat buy a M8. You want a sports car that is comfortable get 992. You want a GT with four seats buy a m8 GC or M5 or MB counterparts Not a knock on M8 to each his own but if I were looking for a M8 I'd likely cross shop S Coupe if I wanted the luxury end or a Panamera/ AMG GT Sedan vs M8 GC

I commented on his YouTube post and mentioned that no one pays anywhere close to MSRP for one of these. Average discount is around 12% off, so it's pretty well under $100K by the time it's all said and done.
The most ridiculous sentence (in a video chock full of them) was when he said the price should be around $40K. It's fairly obvious he's a hater, generally speaking, and must have been having a particularly bad day during this review.

The over price issue like others have stated is valid. I have a 840i gran coupe all wheel drive and thus far am loving it. There’s no way I would’ve paid $100k for the car (it was more like $88k). As much as I wanted the v8 the 850i just wasn’t worth it at $100k+. That said the car pretty much comes with every option you really want by default So that also contributes to the final price. (I only felt the the need to pay extra for m sport pkg and the drive prof pkg).
The interior could be Just a little more special, mainly the seats. They should have been 10 way automatic adjustable/massaging. Full color spectrum led lighting option like how MB does it would have been good as well. That said having remote start (which should have been done a decade ago), wireless Apple car play and touch screen sealed the deal for me. |

Whats also overlooked is the massive discounts available across the range atleast in the UK anyway, coupled with discounted finance the 8 starts to make sense
Consider a new M8 on the road for less then £100k on 0%, most in the market will find it a better proposition. The 840i/840d can be had for £60k brand new, In anyones book thats alot metal for the money |

For the record I was down to a 911 or a BMW M8. I chose the M8. I couldn't be happier with my decision. I had a complete write up of my experience and my choice on this forum for anyone interested.
