Always loved the 6 series but the 8 looks better in every way IMO.

You mean massive body roll, a steering system that is not connected to the front wheels, and the engine note played through the speaker system?!?!?!?!

I like that the 8er is actually a little smaller than the 6er. How does the weight compare tho?

ehm, so any reason why 840d is an eye-watering £14.000 ( fourteen thousand pounds) more expensive than the 640d?

but the 840d has the same price as the 740d x-drive msport.
and is based on 5 series

now the 850 has a different much more powerful engine than the 750 so fair enough

but on the twin turbo diesel, the engine is the same I think

Anyway, it is a nice looking car

6er will go down as one of the most interesting BMW interior designs from the company's history. New car's interior is more of the same.

I don't see it tbh. The only similarities is that the side has one door and two windows. After that I don't see the resemblance whatsoever. In fact the pictures together highlight just the overall crappiness of quality of the Mustang (but that could just be the photo quality).

As typical, the front end/grill of a BMW ages the "worst". Side profile and rear lights of the F13 still look modern. The front... not so much.

This just proves how much of a bargain a used 6er is. Both cars look so good obviously the 8 is prettier for sure but I think the 6er and the new 8 are some of the best looking cars bmw has ever designed

Never understood why BMW axed the 6 series, and why this new car 8 series is has moved up the number chain. To me, it looks like a 6 series that BMW decided to slap a 8xx badge on the rear....
